There is a great post by?Carl Willcox,?here
Clark points out a number of great points:-
2.?It's barely effective, it is, I can only assume that people who use it have a very low expectation in sales and life.
3.?It makes you and your company look desperate, not great for your?brand?or the company brand. 100%.
4. It?inspires zero?trust?and confidence in prospects.?
But now things are going from bad to worse if you cold pitch on?social.
In fact?Linkedin?is filtering these out, just as most?email inboxes?now filter spam email into junk, so it?Linkedin.?
This means the £million inmail is over!

1 年People need to show up online like they show up in-person. You wouldn't walk into someone's home and walk past them without saying anything. Cold outreach has gotten worse. It's not just the phone anymore, it's email, and LinkedIn. I'm appalled how it's misused. Business is built on relationships, not clicks on the keyboard. Thanks for the tip that LinkedIn is monitoring and taking action on this egregious behavior.

1 年This 4th quarter has been brutal, Timothy (Tim) Hughes 提姆·休斯 It has felt like the only companies in the world are LinkedIn lead generation firms (incredibly ironic given the approach), design firms, coaches, and ghostwriters here on LinkedIn. In my email, it's been even worse. In a desperate search for leads, SDRs are in the crevices of the CRM looking for any name in the last 5 years that might have expressed any "interest" whatsoever.

1 年Timothy (Tim) Hughes 提姆·休斯 since the advent of the "SDR" this is getting much worse - my concern is the detrimental impact it is having on LinkedIn and the people who use the platform as it was designed, a social networking platform, and not as a sales platform
