Hallelujah! The 6Nations Rugby is nearly here and we don’t have to pay $20 at the pub door to watch it!
It’s all change in the coverage of 6Nations in the USA, now NBC have both the commercial and residential rights. Its been hard to explain the process of paying $20 in the past which pissed off both pubs (yeah, you weren’t paying them) and customers, but now it’s finally been booted into touch!
The 6Nations starts on Sat 1st Feb and you can follow the tournament LIVE at home with the Gold Rugby Pass for $79.99 (an annual fee that covers all their rugby coverage*) or LIVE at your favorite pub, without cover charge – providing they have an NBC Pub Pass.
There is a where to watch map to see venues across the USA showing 6Nations near you.
If you don’t see your pub, NBC are encouraging Rugby Clubs to refer their local establishment. The pub will receive a $200 discount on their subscription to put behind-the-bar for the rugby club to host a 6Nations watch party. The pass also comes with Gallagher Premiership, Heineken Champions Cup, and every stop on the World Rugby Sevens Series*.
To sign up your favorite pub, simply go to https://www.nbcpubpass.com/ and go to the Subscribe Now link where you can find full details and pricing.
For rugby fans in New York there is also the chance to attend the Captain's Knock Rugby legends Dinner on Feb 27th at the NYAC. Now in its 12th year it is hosted by 6Nations legend, Jeremy Guscott. This year he’s joined by some of the best ‘after dinner speakers’ who made their name in the tournament and went onto represent the Lions; Andy Nicol (Scotland), Rob Henderson (Ireland), Jason Leonard (England) and newly retired Rory Best (Ireland). Both individual tickets and tables of ten are available here and there is also the chance to have Jason Leonard or Andy Nicol host your table.
