What is WalkMe actually about? And, how can it drive your digital transformation, joining forces with SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX? Reasons enough to invite today's special guest Nophry Lev-Ari ? (she / her) , Lead Program Manager at WalkMe. Welcome Nophry, as she will introduce you to the magic trio SAP Signavio x SAP LeanIX x WalkMe with one single objective: transforming your digital adoption landscape end-to-end. Over to Nophry now. Let's go!!
As someone who's been working in the digital transformation space for several years now, the recent news about SAP's intent to acquire WalkMe has really sparked a light bulb in my head. To me, it marks a significant sign of a shift in the industry, and not just because I work for WalkMe. Let me explain: when I look at SAP's recent acquisitions over the last couple of years - Signavio in 2021 and LeanIX in 2023 and now the intent to buy WalkMe - it seems to me that their intention is to offer well-rounded solutions to their customers and this could really be a game changer.
I want to shed some light on how these three parts could make a nicely packaged offering for those seeking a comprehensive solution for their employees. SAP Signavio brings process mining and management to the table, SAP LeanIX offers enterprise architecture and SaaS management tools, and WalkMe provides digital adoption capabilities, putting people at the heart of it all by making sure that technology meets the human side of things - the employees themselves. Together with SAP's core offerings, this combo looks like it could cover a lot of bases in the digital transformation journey, from optimizing processes to improving software adoption. It's exciting to see how this might shape up as a one-stop shop for companies looking to revolutionize their digital strategies.
Why do you need three platforms to make a digital transformation process seamless?
Each one of these platforms serves a different purpose, but they complement each other in a very coherent way. If SAP ensures their usage is utilized seamlessly, you've got yourself quite a powerhouse.
Look, digital transformation, especially in big enterprises, is a real headache. Think about it like this: Imagine a group of people going on a trek. Along the way, more and more people join the group, creating subgroups within the main group. Each subgroup has their own way of traveling and a different vision of where to visit, but there's just one guide at the front for everyone. That guide can't see the whole group as it gets bigger and bigger, but somehow, they must ensure everyone's heading in the same direction.
Some folks might detour to the valley and rejoin later, others might visit a temple and catch up, and a few might wander off to the river and never come back. That's how digital transformation works, and that's why it requires tools for constant alignment. These tools help make sure that while the transformation keeps growing and evolving, it's still moving in the same direction and staying true to its original guide and vision.
With SAP Signavio mapping out the territory, SAP LeanIX keeping track of all the gear and routes, and WalkMe making sure everyone knows how to use their equipment and stay on path, you've got a much better chance of getting the whole group to meet at the same place and that's the power of combining these platforms together.
Let’s explore what each platform does.
SAP Signavio: Mastering Process Excellence
At the heart of each organization lies the need for comprehensive and organized processes. I think we might all agree that in most growing organizations, this is also the main pain point they're encountering. That's where SAP Signavio enters the picture. At its essence, it equips companies with insights and tools to improve those processes and gain the control they need to make smart choices. This helps in aligning the different operations in the complex landscape of digital transformation.
SAP LeanIX: Creating a Future-Ready Enterprises
Another unavoidable side effect of growing companies and enterprises is the massive tech stack they require to operate the whole ship. Over time, this creates a huge mess, and taking care of it is not that easy. There are too many body parts that don't necessarily speak to each other, and the result could be really expensive and inefficient.
SAP LeanIX is the type of tool that enters to solve this problem by providing a bird's-eye view of all the different parts the organization has. It helps ensure that all of the tech stack connects, is being used effectively, and complies with the organization's policies.
It's a lifesaver for communication between IT folks and business leaders. SAP LeanIX provides visuals and reports that help bridge that often tricky gap between tech talk and business strategy. By offering clear insights into the company's IT landscape, it enables better decision-making and more efficient management of technology resources.
WalkMe: Making sure that technology and humans are interacting and working together
Combining those two together is already really powerful, but the way I see it, it's not complete without adding the human element to it.
WalkMe is all about making sure that humans and technology are interacting effectively. It's like having someone take you by the hand and show you the way, making sure that you don't get lost in all that technology.
In our latest flagship event, "Realize 2024," WalkMe's CEO Dan Adika announced our recent product launch called WalkMeX. This contextual AI copilot is meant to make every employee's life so much easier by knowing their role and their most common tasks and tools in advance, and using the power of AI to suggest their next steps based on this information. At its core, WalkMe is putting the human element at the forefront of its solutions.
Closing words
In conclusion, the potential combination of SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX, and WalkMe under SAP's umbrella could present a new era for digital transformation. This trio of tools addresses a pretty full spectrum of challenges that every enterprise company faces. The big question now is how they'll work together in synergy, and for that answer, we'll just have to wait and see so stay tuned as this journey will unveil itself in the coming months and years.
