How to Walk the Walk

And get what YOU want WITHOUT all the unnecessary sacrifice and suffering.
Walking the walk is WAY harder than only talking about what you’ll do or what you want to do…
But the REAL impact, the real change, comes when you live it AND show it.?
When you wear who you are on your sleeve with pride. When you embrace your masculinity and switch off your ego. ?
Earlier this year I realized I had got a bit stale. I was cruising and using the craziness in the world as an excuse. Letting my ego control my actions.?
I wasn’t in alignment with what I was saying as a coach who helps men create fun, impact and freedom…to live a life YOU wouldn't trade for anything.
My life didn’t reflect the journey I help others with.?Or the outcomes.
I wasn’t being the best me. I wasn’t taking the risks that have defined the last 10-11 years.?The risks that make me feel truly alive.?
I had slowly but surely slipped back into my comfort zone. Life was great, don’t get me wrong. But I was playing small.?
So what did I do?
Accept it and convince myself I was grateful for what I have?
NOPE.? Not even close.
I sat with it for a day or two, spending time disconnected from everything, in nature, so I could slow down and listen to my instinct - the part of me that ALWAYS has the right answer for me
To see what it is I wanted. To get clear on what I’d do if no one was watching or paying attention.?It become crystal clear clear I had some decisions to make and work to do.?
I wanted?to really walk the walk. To smash the proverbial glass ceiling that was holding me back.
Here’s what I did:

Invested even more in me. I doubled down on the time, energy and $ (it's over $1M over the last 10 years now, but I wouldn't be where I am today without it) I invest in my growth. My health, my relationships, my business.?
I changed up what I do for training so I can continue to compete with the 20-somethings in the gym and on the track.?
I refocused on my sleep (volume AND quality) and what I fuel my body and mind with. I banished the compromises that had crept in
And made a decision to move to the other side of the world in the middle of the year (we leave in 4 weeks and I am beyond excited).
Then I turned my attention to really shaking things up business wise.?I made some significant changes to the suite of coaches/mentors that guide me and continuously enhance what I do.?
It was painful but growth always is. Letting go of what I had been doing, what my ego was clinging stubbornly too, to create something different. Something new.?
Being honest with yourself and embracing the short term pain is how you grow. How you evolve. How you serve and help others.?
I’ll be honest, it would’ve been easier to cruise along playing it safe
But that is NOT how you discover what you’re capable of. Not how you create fun, impact and freedom.?
That's not how YOU live a life you wouldn't trade for anything....
I chose the hard path. The infinitely BETTER path. The one that will better serve me, my family and my clients.?
I won't lie. Walking the walk is HARD. Like really really hard.
But it’s how you maximise you.
How YOU create the life you want - where you get to do what YOU want When YOU want where YOU want how YOU want and with whom YOU want
What are you doing to walk your walk?
