How vulnerable is the UK?

The first step towards effective, sustainable, cyber defence is to understand the threats you face. But when you’re talking about an entire country, this challenge becomes monumental.??

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is building an accurate picture of the nation’s cyber security status. At this year’s CYBERUK event in Belfast, 19-20 April, technical experts from the NCSC will lay out the data-driven approach they’ve been taking to mapping the UK’s vulnerabilities.??

This research will guide future tactical and strategic interventions. Find out how the picture is being built, what work is still to be done, and the insights which have already been gleaned. If you’re interested in the direction of travel for cyber in the UK, then this is a talk you need to hear.?

What is CYBERUK??

The international cyber security community will be gathering in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on the 19-20 April, this year.?

Run by the NCSC, CYBERUK 2023 features a stellar array of speakers and exhibitors, backed by panel discussions of hot topics, and the chance to learn from the best and brightest in the Technical Masterclasses.?

At CYBERUK the international cyber security community takes time to talk shop and compare notes on the most important trends of the last twelve months. And it’s been quite an eventful year by any standard.?

Topics include, cyber warfare in Ukraine, ransomware, supply chain attacks, the future of AI in cyber, and the regulation of the cyber security profession. You can view the full agenda, along with a list of speakers and exhibitors, on at the CYBERUK 2023 website.?

The work NCSC have been doing in this space is fascinating and well worth hearing about first hand. How do you measure vulnerability at national scale, you can hardly simply tally up the CVSS scores (if that was ever even true for an device, individual or enterprise) and divide by the number of people...

In cheetam hill in the main road there is a shop that used to provide moneygram services and they were using other people identity to send money abroad for individuals without valid IDs. I have reported this also to Police and action fraud and now this same shop is also active as a Post office. Do they go under any vetting process before being accredited as Post office branches? I would really investigate it to avoid so many fraud cases
