Today, I wanted to talk about Video Marketing.
You probably LOVE IT or HATE IT, I'm guessing?
Or you could be "in the middle" and you'll do it when you "feel like it".
- Your HOME page is the most critical place to put a video... but please don't just say, "Welcome to my website." Instead, talk TO the ideal client and visitor and what their biggest concerns are around what you do. What are they searching for? Speak to that, their hot buttons... then AFTER you do that, you can share why you're so passionate about helping people with THAT. Then tell them what to do next... sign up for your free gift/training/ebook or a call (but don't make that the only thing, please).
- Your ABOUT page?is where you can share more about you personally. Go deep with your experience, your story and how it might relate to them, the types of clients you typically work with, and why you're so passionate about doing your work.
- Your SERVICES page?or pages are where you can again hit their hot buttons about what they need help with and why they want to consider signing up today for the "thing." I like to start my videos on those pages with: "Hey there if you're on this page, you're probably looking for solutions for XYZ."
- Your FREE CALL page?is where you invite them to come have a call with you to see if or how you can help them with X. Ideally you want a page for this, not just a calendar link. That way, you can place a video explaining what they'll experience on this call, what they'll walk away with, how it will run, how to be prepared, and why it's important to do this NOW. You can also add video testimonials on that page and a form with more questions like I do... it's very helpful in getting the RIGHT people to sign up to talk with me. Check out my page here.
- On your SPEAKING page, it's important to have videos of you speaking—either from on stage in person or on stage on Zoom; it's okay to have either these days, as most speaker bookers know that many people speak virtually. You probably want to look into speaking if you're not yet speaking. It's a great marketing and sales strategy, no matter what your business or what you're selling. (I can share how to do this if you need help.)
There are many other areas where you can strategically place videos on your website (plus, of course, all over social media, YouTube, etc.), and I can show you if you come to do a website review and strategy call with me! Sign up for that here...it's the last option on the page. This could make a very big difference in the results you're seeing!
