How to vibrate at a higher frequency in order to achieve greater success
This is the third and final part of my recent article: 'The Psychology of an Entrepreneur'.
If you've not yet read Part 1: The Psychology of an Entrepreneur or Part 2: 'How can psychology help you achieve higher success?' I would recommend you do so before reading further.
In Part 2, I explained that the 'thing' that ultimately differentiates each of us from everyone, and everything else is energy. I explained that the energy of a successful person vibrates at a much higher frequency than that of an unsuccessful person.
In other words, if you want to achieve greater success, you must raise your vibrational frequency.
So, how do we vibrate at a higher frequency?
Since we feel first and act second, we have to change our inner world in order to change our outer world. It all starts with the mind. Because how you feel on the inside will mirror what you see on the outside.
And since all situations are emotionally neutral, we can decide how we feel about any given situation.
So, vision what success looks like for you. Your deepest dreams and desires.
Where do you live? What are you surrounded by? How much money are you making? Really focus on how this success would make you feel.
Hold on to that feeling as if you’ve already made these dreams a reality. As if you have already achieved and obtained everything you have ever wanted, and then work towards your goals retaining this exact feeling. Your energy needs to be in line with your dreams in order to make them a reality- because this will determine your actions towards your goals.
Although what you desire is in the future, your attention and energy must be in the present. If you focus on the absence of your desires, your energy will shift and in turn, achieving these goals will become less probable.
Count your blessings. What are you grateful for that you have right now? What have you achieved over the past 5 years? What valuable life lessons have you learnt? Again, being grateful for what you have in life will help align your energy to where it needs to be, in order to make your dreams a reality.
Consider this: "Where you are right now, is the exact place you need to be in order to get to where you want to be tomorrow."
Before you start working towards your vision of success, you need to have a clear idea of what it is that you want to achieve. Set yourself goals and question; what do you need to do to achieve these goals? Break them down into smaller tasks within shorter timeframes.
You should set goals in every area of your life. Financial, vocational, social, physical, and emotional. Although these areas of our lives may not be linked, they do have an impact on each other. So it is important to maintain a balance.
Set yourself goals that are challenging but possible. Goals that are too far out of our reach make us question our competence and we ultimately lack confidence if we don't hit them.
Write them down! Many studies have shown that people who write down their goals are ten times more likely to achieve them. Goals that are not written down are ultimately just a fantasy.
Work your way up. Little by little, step by step. Celebrate each success, no matter how small it may be. Remember, life is not a race. If you find the fun in the journey, the destination feels all the more worthwhile.
Don't beat yourself up for the things that you don't achieve. Embrace failure and don’t be scared to get punched in the face with it at any given moment. When you are scared of failure, you’re at your weakest. We will all be faced with life's curveballs now and again, but one punch from failure will knock you down if you don't become friends with it. Just keep going until you win.
You don’t need to be a perfectionist. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting to maintain a good standard- but always wanting to achieve perfection can lead to unnecessary procrastination and becoming critical of yourself when you don’t achieve your idea of perfection. I'm very guilty of this myself. But imperfect action is far more powerful than no action at all.
Get rid of your competition. It’s not healthy to compare our success to others. This is something that we have been conditioned to do. As a baby, you wouldn't find yourself crawling around the nursery in utter despair because some of the other tots had already learnt how to walk whilst you were still on all fours!
When we look for validation, acceptance or reward from others, we are giving away our power. Ignore others, focus on YOU.
Success is not the last stop on the journey. Success is the person you become as a result of the journey you take.
