HOW TO VERIFY PROPERTY DOCUMENTS

2. Check for Encumbrances: Check the property's records at the local revenue office or taluk office to ensure that the property is free from any encumbrances such as liens, mortgages, or court cases.

3. Get the Property Surveyed: Have a qualified surveyor conduct a property survey to verify the boundaries and dimensions of the property, and to ensure that the property is not located in any prohibited or restricted zones.

4. Verify the Legal Documents: Verify the authenticity of legal documents such as the sale deed, title deed, and any other relevant documents related to the property.

5. Check for Building Plan Approval: Check with the local Municipal Corporation or Town Planning Authority to ensure that the building has been constructed as per the approved building plan and is in compliance with local building regulations.

6. Check for Property Tax Payments: Check with the local municipal corporation or civic body to ensure that the property tax is up-to-date and that there are no pending taxes or penalties on the property.
