Telecom startup Velmenni, backed by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) under the Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) initiative, is set to enhance the Indian Navy’s communication capabilities with its groundbreaking Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) technology.

?? What is Li-Fi? Li-Fi, or Light Fidelity, uses LED bulbs as routers and operates on optical wireless communication (OWC) technology, delivering data through visible, infra-red, or ultraviolet light. Boasting speeds up to 224GB per second, Li-Fi is 100 times faster than WiGig, the fastest Wi-Fi available.
