How a Vacation Improved My Mood

How a Vacation Improved My Mood

I’m still in a bit of a netherworld since returning late Wednesday night from my vacation.

I feel as if I’m not quite grounded, floating a little — maybe because I truly let go and relaxed for the first time in a while. I didn't do a stitch of work, which made the break feel rejuvenating and cleansing.

Our trip took us through three cities across a three-hour time difference, and while the travel was more challenging than anticipated — especially for my partner, George, who was affected by Sedona’s high elevation — it was deeply moving.?

Sedona’s famous vortexes made me feel more spiritual and relaxed. Maybe that experience is still lingering, as I find myself less bothered by the small stuff.

I also reconnected with my sister after years apart, which felt like coming home. She’s doing well and happily adjusted to her rehabilitation facility. It was wonderful to see her content.

Spending time with George’s son and his fiance in Las Vegas was another highlight. I felt like we were welcomed into a new family. George’s son and his fiance went out of their way to accommodate us, and meeting his partner Michael's parents solidified that sense of belonging. Seeing George with his son, and feeling closer to them, made the journey even more worthwhile.

As I return to my daily routine, I hope to keep a piece of that “vacation mode” alive — more calm, grounded, and spiritually refreshed. It’s a gift I want to carry forward, even as both feet start to land back on the ground.

If you want to brand or position yourself more effectively, I’d love to offer you a complimentary Power Positioning Call. Let’s take the first step in crafting a compelling narrative for your brand. Schedule your call here.
