How To Use Youtube To Grow Your Brand & Start A Business

Introduction

YouTube is an essential platform for growing your audience and getting more business! It's a channel you can use to promote your brand, products, and services. In this article, we'll talk about how YouTube can help you grow your business in ten easy steps.

#1. Decide what you'll post about

First, you need to decide what you will post about. As a general rule of thumb, the more specific your content is, the better. Suppose you're running an online clothing store and want to post videos on how people can style different pieces from your collection. In that case, that's very specific and will likely have an audience interested in seeing it.

Suppose you post something like "how I became successful" or "why I started my business." In that case, it will not work very well because millions of other people are already doing the same thing! So make sure whatever topic(s) you choose has some relevance for your brand/business so that people can connect with what they see on the screen when watching one of these videos.

#2. Choose a good name and branding

The next step is to choose an appropriate name for your channel and branding. You need to make sure that it is short, memorable, and relevant to what you are doing. The last thing you want is for people to forget about you because of a silly mistake in naming your channel or business.

The best way to avoid this pitfall is by choosing a unique name that is not already taken by someone else online (here's where Google comes in handy).

Here are some tips on how to pick the right name:

·???Don't use your own name or someone else's real name as part of your brand identity

·???Don't use any names with numbers unless they're essential (i.e., 22blogger)

#3. Create a channel trailer to introduce yourself

As the third step in your launch, you must create a channel trailer that introduces yourself to the world. The best way to do this is by using a video that shows what you can do, who you are and why people should buy from you.

Here's an example: In my YouTube channel trailer, I show off my work as an expert on branding, small business development, and marketing strategy by drawing from examples of my past work with clients like GE Healthcare, Wells Fargo Bank, and others. I also tell viewers about who I am—what makes me tick and why they should care about my actions!

#4. Promote your videos with thumbnails, text, and tags

Make sure to use all the tools to promote your videos. Your thumbnail is the first thing people will see when they visit your channel, so make sure it's eye-catching. The title of your video should be catchy and relevant, but also informative enough that people understand what the video is about without having to watch it (most people won't). You should also tag each video with relevant hashtags so that anyone searching YouTube can find you more easily.

#5. Use the end screen tool to highlight your best content

You can use the end screen tool to promote your website or social media accounts, but it's also a great way to highlight your most popular content.

It's important not only to have a call-to-action at the end of your video but also one that encourages viewers to check out other videos on your channel or visit your website. The end screen tool allows you to add one of these CTAs after each video by selecting from a list of options:

·???Watch another video from this creator.

·???Visit this creator's website.

·???Follow this creator on YouTube, Google+, Facebook (and/or Twitter)

#6. Utilize playlists to keep people watching

YouTube is a great platform to use when it comes to growing your brand. You can do many things on the platform to help grow your business and connect with people with similar interests. One of those things is utilizing playlists.

Playlists are an excellent way to keep viewers engaged with your content; providing them with various options will make them more likely to return for more videos in the future. The best part about using playlists is that you can create them in so many different ways! You can create other playlists based on themes or topics, or even target specific audiences such as men vs women, age groups, etc...

#7. Make sure to brand your channel page

Now that you've got a handle on your channel name and description, it's time to ensure the rest of your page is branded.

To do this, there are a few things you need to get right:

·???Use the same theme throughout (color scheme, logo, etc.)

·???Have a consistent header image (roughly 900 x 500 pixels)

·???Use a background image that makes sense for your brand.

#8. Use audio that's free from copyright restrictions

Audio is a great way to get your message across. You can use audio to promote your brand, products, services, and business.

·???For example, you could create an audio podcast on how to achieve your goals with the help of Google Analytics. That way, people can listen while they drive or do other things that require their attention but not their hands.

·???Another thing is writing scripts for radio advertisements that are played on the radio stations in local communities where people live around those areas (you can even choose which stations depending on what types of people would be listening there). That way, when someone hears something about it, they might want to check out more information, which could lead them back to hearing another ad. Now they know who created this product/service and where else they might find more information about what has been advertised on TV or the radio.

#9. Encourage viewers to engage with your video content

Another way to encourage engagement is by asking viewers questions. Ask your viewers what they think about a particular topic or product to get the conversation going. You can even ask them to share their opinions on your brand or company.

The comments section of your videos is an excellent place to engage with your audience. Use them to learn more about what viewers want from you and how you can improve future videos.

You can also use the comments section to promote other videos relevant to the one you're currently posting (for example, if you were posting about making smoothies, you could encourage other smoothie recipes).

If someone asks for help with video creation, it's always a good idea to respond as soon as possible by offering assistance and/or advice!

#10. Take advantage of Google+ features

Take advantage of Google+ features.

Google+ is a great way to grow your audience. One of the most effective ways to do this is using hashtags on Google+. A hashtag is a keyword or phrase with no spaces that people can use when they want to talk about something or share their content related to that topic. You should ensure you're using the right hashtags for your business and industry so that anyone who wants to find what you have to offer can see it through keyword searches on Google+. You can also use hashtags as part of your link-building strategy, which we'll discuss in #18 below!

Another way you can use Google+ is by joining communities where other people in your niche are already hanging out and interacting with one another. These are great places where you can connect with others, get feedback on your products or services, learn new strategies for growing your brand and start-up company, and even know how to find potential investors.

You should also take advantage of Google Hangouts: these allow groups of 10 people to video chat live together while chatting within text boxes below each person's face cam shot (there's also an option where everyone just sees text). The best part? It's free! So there really isn't any excuse not to...

YouTube is an essential platform for growing your audience and getting more business!

YouTube is the second-largest search engine, the second-largest social network, and the second-largest video platform in the world. It's also one of the most important sources for new customers, as more than half of all 18- to 34-year-olds say they buy products recommended by YouTube videos.

As a business owner (or potential business owner), you need to be on YouTube!

Conclusion

Using YouTube to grow your audience and start a business is really easy. With just a few simple steps, you'll be able to create videos to help lead viewers back to your website or landing page.
