How to use SE Ranking to prevent keyword cannibalization

Hey, community! Bogdan Babiak is back with another tip?for using SE Ranking to get the job done. Let’s discuss how our Rank Tracker can help you win in the eternal fight against keyword cannibalization.

1. We have functionality that shows you whether Google started juggling between your pages for a certain keyword. This feature helps you understand which pages require optimizing/deoptimizing for that search keyword.

2. After deciding upon (or you already know) the exact URL that you want to see for a certain keyword, you can use the “Target URL” functionality.

It has two use cases:

1st: It will highlight red the wrong page (not the one you set up as target URL) if it ranks higher for the keyword.

2nd: If you want, the system will display the position of the exact URL you specify instead of the one that is ranked higher. This feature is particularly useful when you have two or more URLs competing for the same search results. Just click on the checkbox labeled "Check rankings for target URL only" at the bottom of the popup.
