How to Use Pinterest to Boost Your Blog When Google Lets You Down

How to Use Pinterest to Boost Your Blog When Google Lets You Down

Hey LinkedIn! ??

Pinterest.

A golden opportunity many bloggers overlook.

Why?

Because they’re too focused on Google.

But Google has its pitfalls.

The "Helpful Content" update in August 2022 was a disaster for many.

Traffic gone.

Clicks gone.

Revenue gone.

What to do?

Give up?

Or rethink your strategy?

I chose Pinterest.

A platform that many don’t truly understand.

Pinterest is not Instagram.

It’s not Facebook either.

Pinterest is a search engine.

A visual search engine, to be precise.

And it has something Google doesn’t: Longevity.

Good content here stays relevant – not for hours or days, but for months or years.

That makes Pinterest a powerful tool.

But not everyone will succeed on Pinterest.

It takes strategy.

It takes understanding.

It takes the right niche.

Let’s take a closer look at your niche’s growth potential on Pinterest:

1. Is your niche too specific?

  • "Vacuum cleaners"? Too narrow.
  • "Cleaning"? Much better.
  • Broader niches attract a broader audience.
  • Exception: Recipes. The more specific, the better.

2. Does your niche support different formats?

  • Evergreen content rocks on Pinterest.
  • Listicles.
  • Tutorials.
  • Before-and-after transformations.
  • Skimmable, informative, visually strong.

3. Competitive Analysis (No Dirty Tricks):

  • Search for similar profiles.
  • Check their monthly views.
  • At least 300,000? Your niche has potential.
  • Less? Maybe dig deeper.

4. Visual Appeal:

  • Can you turn your content into cool images or infographics?
  • Pinterest loves visually appealing content.
  • Without visual flair, you’re going nowhere.

5. Shareability:

  • Are your content valuable enough for people to want to share it?
  • Valuable + interesting = viral.
  • Your content needs to convince at first glance.

Conclusion:

Pinterest users aren’t looking for random stuff.

They’re looking for inspiration.

For ideas.

For solutions.

And if you can deliver that, you win.

But this isn’t a sprint.

It’s a marathon.

Longevity pays off here.

You need patience, consistency, and most importantly: great content.

Great post about Pinterest, but I have a doubt about how to improve impressions on Pinterest. I have a Pinterest account, I created eye catching images and a good title and description, posting regularly even though I am unable to reach good impressions. I know it takes time but from the last year I am trying to improve impressions. Can you help me with this. https://www.pinterest.com/financerangers/
