How To Use LinkedIn’s Pulse Feature To Get More Blog Traffic
Is getting traffic for your blog a challenge for you?
You know, I know how that feels…
However, my friend, I want you to lean into your chair…
Over the next few minutes, I want you to read this post in it’s entirety..
What I am about to share with you can drastically increase your blog traffic and target a highly qualified group of prospects for your business, product or service or offers.
Linkedin publishing is a fairly new phenomenon.
One of the most viable aspects to this marketing method is being able to tap into a pool of prospects whose income is roughly between $80k – $150K on average.
In February 2014, LinkedIn opened its publishing platform called The Pulse to the general public.
If you’ve spent any time learning about blog promotion, then you know that guest posting is one of the most popular ways to grow a following on your blog.
Publishing on LinkedIn is similar to guest posting and you can now start reachingLinkedIn’s massive membership base.
Here are a few reasons you might want to experiment with publishing on LinkedIn:
1. Get exposure to LinkedIn’s massive audience – on LinkedIn, you will be able to reach a lot of people that you won’t be able to reach through guest blogging or other social media channels.
2. Short articles can do well on LinkedIn – over 70% of Pulse featured articles are under 1,000 words.
Guest posting on popular blogs in contrast often requires longer more detailed articles.
3. Instant approval – Pulse articles are published instantly when you hit the publish button.
With guest blogging, popular blogs will often have a wait time of weeks or even months before your post goes live.
In the picture above, you can see an example of a post I put up yesterday. It is also a blog post on my blog.
I always place my blog link in a P.S. line below my signature linking back to my blog.
The power in Linkedin’s audience is reaching power players – people that have the ability to invest in my products and services and see my vision – provided that I give them value.
Linkedin is not a pitch site…
It is a value creation site.
Linkedin attracts some of the finest entrepreneurs from all over the world and if you use this 3 step formula you can get solid results:
1. Create A Compelling Headline
If you invest time creating a powerful headline, you will attract people to your message. Make sure that you article is relevant to the niche – business, personal development, personal finance and entrepreneurship.
2. Grow Your Influencers
As you write more articles, you should accumulate more followers over time.
These followers can increase your article views and engagement, especially if you publish consistently.
I came across a gentleman by the name of Bernard Marr – who is an influencer with over 300,000 followers on LinkedIn. Influencers drastically get more traffic and leads for their posts, provided their content is engaging and they have a great call to action in line with a great offer.
Check this out: Even his worst performing articles get a crazy amount of views. WOW!
3. Promote Your Post Outside of Linkedin.
Articles on the main Pulse page are sorted by the number of views.
Articles with the most views will appear on top and articles with less total views will appear below them:
If your article makes it into the Pulse, you can push it even higher and get even more exposure to it by promoting it to your email list and social media followers.
