How to Use LinkedIn Showcase Pages
Many businesses have multiple products and services that serve completely different purposes. This becomes a problem when they try to market these products and services online. How do businesses highlight their different products or services without causing confusion?
You may have already ran into this problem when trying to market your business online. The good news is LinkedIn offers a way for you to highlight your products or services simply and seamlessly. They offer a tool called LinkedIn Showcase Pages that allows you to create a separate page for each product or service that your business offers. In this week’s blog post we will explain more about LinkedIn Showcase pages and why your business should be using them.
1. What are LinkedIn Showcase Pages?
LinkedIn Showcase pages are an extension of your LinkedIn Business page that allow you to explain your products or services in greater detail. You can build these pages directly from your LinkedIn Business page (See Image Below).
Setting up your LinkedIn showcase pages is a fairly simple process. First identify the products or services you will want to highlight. Then simply follow the steps that LinkedIn provides. Once your showcase pages have been created they will appear in the right hand side of your business profile page (See Image Below).
2.When You Should Use Showcase Pages
If a business has many product or service offerings it can be difficult to find one specific target audience to market to. This can be due to the product and services being so different. When a business uses social media for promotion they tend to market every product or service all at once. This causes confusion and can leave your audience asking “What is it that they do exactly?” Which is definitely something every business should want to avoid.
For example, here at Issuer Direct we offer a Press Release Service (Shareholder Communications) and Stock Transfer Agent Services. These two services are two completely different parts of our business. So to show that separation and to cater to our different audiences we created a Shareholder Communications showcase page and a Stock Transfer Agent Services showcase page. This allows to provide specific updates on the services we offer to the right audience.
3. How to Get the Most Out of LinkedIn Showcase Pages
As mentioned above showcase pages allow you to highlight your products or services so you’ll want to do so in the best way possible. The first great thing about Showcase pages is that LinkedIn allows you to have a large banner image across the top of the page. Work with the design team at your workplace to create an attention grabbing image that pulls visitors into your page.
Also LinkedIn allows you to add a description below the image of your company and the product/service you are showcasing. Make your description short and sweet. This can be slightly challenging. But the faster you can get your point across the better as many visitors to your page may not spend that much time there.
Another great tool that a LinkedIn Showcase page provides is the information feed. Similar to your primary LinkedIn business page, each of your showcase pages is provided a feed for you to post updates to. Examples of ways to utilize this feed are sharing product/service announcements, relevant news, blog posts and industry webcasts.
