How To Use The Law Of Attraction To Manifest Your Dream Job

Do you ever wonder why some people can attract success in a way that seems effortless? One reason is that they are activating the Law of Attraction. New York Times bestselling author, Jack Canfield, describes the Law of Attraction in simple terms: “What you think about, talk about, believe strongly about, and feel intensely about, you will bring about.” In other words, our thoughts, which are made up of energy, can have a profound impact on our lives. You will attract into your life whatever you give your focus, energy and attention to. By following these strategies, you will be able to use the Law of Attraction to manifest your dream job.

Decide what you want

The first step to manifest your dream job is deciding what you want. It’s impossible to reach your goal if you don’t have one. Start with your "why." Why do you want to make a career change? What is it about your current job that you don’t like? Shift your perspective and open yourself up to new possibilities. Brainstorm options so you can find the intersection of what you enjoy and are good at. This may be an excellent time to find a mentor or coach to support you and hold you accountable. Think about what you'd like your life to be like five or ten years into the future. Test out careers by volunteering, joining a board, or starting a side hustle. Once you’ve identified your goal, write it down, and share it with the people close to you. There is a strong correlation between vocalizing our goals and completing them.

Think more deliberately

Manifesting your dream job using the Law of Attraction requires intentional thought. Rather than just reacting to your current situation, become more deliberate about what you think and feel. Once you’ve identified your goal, practice imagining how you’ll feel when you’ve reached it. For example, if your dream job is to become a professional author, imagine how it will feel to finish that initial manuscript, sign your first book deal or make the New York Times bestseller list. These positive thoughts will help you to create your future rather than stay stuck in the present.

Focus on the future

To find your dream job, you'll need to focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want. When you dread your work life, it’s easy to be consumed with thoughts like, “I really hate my job," "Why am I wasting my time at this company?" or "I really want to get out of this toxic work environment.” By focusing on what you don’t want, you are actually reinforcing your current situation. Instead, focus on your ultimate goal. Replace those negative images with positive ones like, "I love my job," "I'm enjoying every minute at this company," or “I love working in such a supportive work environment.” If you can shift your thinking, you will be more likely to manifest the future you desire.

Believe you can get there

As the famous quote from Henry Ford goes, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right.” No matter how much effort you put into achieving a goal, if you don’t believe deep in your core that it’s possible, you’ll never get there. Believing doesn’t just happen to you—it’s a choice. One way to encourage this mindset is by adding a visualization practice to your daily routine. This approach could include creating a vision or dream board. By putting a vision board somewhere where you can see it every day, you will naturally become more motivated to reach your goals. You’ll even start to notice yourself doing unexpected things that move you closer to your dream job.

Take action

Thoughts are useless without action. Some of these steps will be clear-cut, like taking a writing class if you want to be a professional author or enrolling in a certification course if your goal is to pursue project management. Others will be less obvious and require you to tap into your intuition. This is when you’ll need to trust your gut. Follow your instincts when you feel like there's a specific conference you need to attend or a person you must reach out to—even if you’re not sure why. The Law of Attraction isn’t magic, and it isn’t instantaneous. Applying it requires patience, effort and training. The time it takes to reach your goal will be different for everyone. Yet, the recipe is simple. By mixing two essential ingredients, thought, and action, along with a dash of gratitude and a pinch of appreciation, you can create the life that you want.
