What should my Instagram posting schedule be?

Consistency is key! Aim for regular and predictable posting times. Based on current recommendations, here's an optimal posting schedule:

  • Reels - 4 per week - they are the most important post format for expanded audience reach!
  • Carousels - 2 per week - they're making a comeback! If a user doesn't engage with your carousel upon seeing the first slide in their feed, Instagram will re-display it again later with the second slide, allowing a second chance for engagement.
  • Single Image - 1 per week - to provide consistent visual representation of your brand.
  • Stories - 3-5 times per day - to maintain audience interest and connection.
  • Direct Messages - 20 DMs per day - to deepen relationships with your audience and drive sales.
  • Collaborations - 1 per week - to expand your reach by tapping into the audience of your collaborator.
