Vertical anti-seepage technology has been widely used in domestic waste landfills, hazardous waste safe landfills, industrial solid waste disposal sites and heavy metal pollution risk control projects. The anti-seepage performance can reach more than 10-7cm/s, which effectively blocks pollution. migration of things. The core of the vertical and horizontal anti-seepage technology used in this mining project is HDPE geomembrane, whose anti-seepage capacity can reach 10-12cm/s.

Case name:

Heavy metal pollution remediation and control project in gold mine backfill area in Hainan Province.

Case introduction:

The goal of this restoration and management project is to process the slag in the backfill area of the gold mining area. The stacking mine site is about 200m long and 60m wide, with a total area of 13222m2. There are many mining pits and shafts in the mining area, random stacking of slag, and severe vegetation damage. The problem is outstanding, there are serious safety hazards and environmental geological problems, and there is serious heavy metal arsenic pollution.

After project

Process flow:

In the first step, vertical anti-seepage technology is used to isolate the environment around the pile in situ to block the migration path of pollutants and the surrounding environment. The vertical anti-seepage reaches the impermeable layer, forming a complete isolation and sealing system with the impermeable layer. .

In the second step, the surface of the pile is closed and covered with a horizontal anti-seepage HDPE film and connected to the vertical anti-seepage system to completely isolate the contaminated waste slag from the surrounding environment (water, soil) and cut off the migration pathways of pollutants. At the same time, shallow-rooted cash crops, flowers and other cash crops are planted on the horizontal anti-seepage system to restore the ecosystem.

The third step is to conduct organized drainage of surface water in the area to reduce the infiltration of rainwater in the area.

The fourth step is to set up groundwater monitoring wells around the reactor and set up seepage drainage wells inside the reactor to conduct daily testing of groundwater and seepage fluid inside the reactor; the surrounding soil and atmosphere are monitored with the help of social forces.

After the in-situ closure is completed, the ecosystem is restored, shallow-rooted cash crops and flowers are planted in the treatment area, and vegetation coverage is restored

A series of energy-saving measures were also taken during construction:

(1) Select efficient and energy-saving construction equipment during the design and construction process to reduce energy consumption.

(2) Strengthen the operation management and maintenance of large-scale construction machinery, prohibit no-load operation, and increase utilization rate.

(3) Strictly control the quality to ensure that the products pass the first acceptance and avoid waste caused by rework and repair.
