Mid-quarter check-ins are an important ritual in an OKR cycle. They can serve as a good reality check midway through a quarter. This is an opportunity for teams to present their progress and do a quick pulse check on OKRs at risk and OKRs that are highly likely to progress, giving the leaders and teams a good prediction on the possibility of achieving OKRs in the quarter and allowing them to review the company’s strategy.


During an effective Mid-quarter check-in, leadership teams come together to reflect on the following metrics for each team/squad/business unit:


  • Key Achievements
  • Top 3 High-Progress KRs
  • Top 3 KRs at Risk – KRs that have not even started or are unsure of getting traction this quarter
  • Top 3 Lagging KRs - KRs you were confident about in progress, but are lagging behind schedule due to various reasons

Against each Key Result, create your narrative on Wins, Setbacks, and Initiatives to make your presentations to the point.

Make it all about Actions.


Mid-Quarter check-ins are all about taking action. Enter specific meeting actions/notes you would like to take as comments to guide progress as the quarter progresses. You can do this easily with the CFR module to create outcome-focused conversations that result in actions.
