How to Use the "Featured Links" Section of LinkedIn to Promote Your Offers

Matt Gray of the Soulful Entrepreneur shared some advice gold in his newsletter last week on how to monetize your LinkedIn Profile.

Step 1 Turn on "Creator Mode" in your profile which allows you to add 3 featured links.

Not only are these additional ways for your audience to get to know you better...

It's also a free way to promote your offers on LinkedIn's dime.?

And allows you to convert a "rented audience" into your "owned" audience.

Step 2 I added these to my "featured links" section

  • My "Art of Influence" masterclass (6 modules uploaded on Gumroad)
  • A weekly newsletter (such as the one you are reading)
  • A free PDF (8 Steps to Building a Powerful Personal Brand and how I did it)

Here is how I set it up.

One Public Speaking Tip

Something that sets your **brand apart*** is the unique point of view you bring to the table. Can it come from your nationality or ethnicity?

???? When I was at CNN, I wanted my own show. Something I could put my stamp on. I was also 30 years old and too young to host my own show. So I thought to myself, "What could I lean into that is uniquely me?"

I'm Indian. I'm American. I grew up on a steady diet of Bollywood film and truly love it.

While I've spent 20 years in front of the camera delivering business news on major US networks, some only know me as host of a Saturday morning show that linked me directly to my Indian heritage. Every week, I delivered content (in English) on the upcoming films releasing from the Bollywood film industry. That show syndicated around the country and around the world on Sony TV.

???? Being on TV was the bonus. Being able to write the creative content I delivered was the real gift, the real driver for me.

In the Stiletto Dialogues podcast with Karen Senteio, Executive Coach, I talk about how leaning into my Indian heritage and my gift of writing helped to build my brand.
