How To Use ChatGPT To Learn ANY Skill Quickly

Learning a skill requires a lot of discipline and patience, and it becomes particularly difficult when you don’t have a mentor, you are completely overwhelmed by the amount of things to learn

Fortunately, ChatGPT can really simplify this task and boost this process, in this article, I will use 2 books that have greatly inspired me and create prompts that are based on them to multiply your learning by 10x.

Why focus on a single skill?

First, before addressing ChatGPT, I want to give you a good start, if you want to learn several things at once, it won’t work.

It’s unproductive and you lose your motivation.

Instead, focus on one skill at a time, finish it, and move on to something else

it’s the best way to maintain momentum

Now that you’ve chosen your skill, we can move on to the next step

How to learn quickly using ChatGPT?

In this part, I will expose each step with prompts to boost your learning

  1. Use ChatGPT as a mentor

First, we will indicate to ChatGPT that it is our mentor

We all need a master who can clarify the way for us, show us the path and put us on the test

For this, we will provide him with the following prompt

You’re an expert in [You can indicate the field you’re interested in here] and have over 15 years’ experience in this field, and I’d like you to be my mentor.

here is the result he provided me with if I want to learn Front-End Development

now that we have our master, it’s time to ask him to teach us the essentials

  1. Take advantage of the Pareto principle

The Pareto principle states that for many outcomes, about 80% of the consequences come from 20% of the causs.

Given that our mentor ChatGPT has over 15 years of experience, we can ask him to provide us with 20% for this, we will use the following prompt

Identify the 20% of what I have to learn that will enable me to obtain 80% of the desired results

And here is the result

Now that he has given us the essentials, we will try to go even further by breaking down as much as possible.

For this, we will send him the following prompt

I want you to break down each skill listed below as far as possible until you have the mini-skills I need to have. Put it all in the form of a table

And voilà

Now, we know exactly what we need to learn, it’s the 20% of the 20%.

  1. Schedule our sessions

it’s time to ask ChatGPT to schedule our sessions

give him how many months, weeks, and hour you are willing to dedicate to your learning

for this use, the following prompt:

If I want to learn all the mini-skills listed above in [8 months] and I have one hour a day, 5 days a week, can you design a study schedule for me

here are the results

and for each part, you can ask ChatGPT to provide you with what you need with a mini exercise

here is a prompt that will help you in this task

Now explain the following point to me [ Understanding the structure of HTML documents] in a simple way, and suggest 3 exercises to learn about the different scenarios that can be used for

Now that you have a clear direction allocated time for practice to do this nothing simpler use the IAI method

  • Imitate: yes copy the work of others, create an Amazon, Netflix, YouTube version of everything you commonly use, create your own version, this will allow you to understand the logic behind each app you use or if you want to learn copywriting for example copy all the copies of Gary Halbert, David Ogilvy and all the rest or music copy Mozart and Beethoven
  • Assimilate: by copying the best, you will consciously and unconsciously assimilate their style and, see the similarities between these individuals and combine these styles to create your own
  • Innovate: With enough practice, you may be able to innovate by combining different styles, methods…

For the resources you are going to imitate, you can also ask ChatGPT

by providing him with the following prompt

I want you to help me practice providing well-known websites or apps for everyone so I can assimilate and reinforce my knowledge

I hope this article has taught you interesting things

if you have any other prompts to share, don’t hesitate in the comments

I’m all ears

if you liked the article, give a clap

Thanks in advance
