Do you use related tables in the ESRI Utility Network? Say for electric wire data, pipe data, telecom wire, or Joint Use information? See the EWD Record Example link below for a general idea of how this works. There are a few different ideas for how to streamline the workflow of adding/updating these records. Delete old and draw new from a template. Great if you have a long run to update. Update the records one at a time. Typical for most work if only a few records are involved. If so you are able to copy an existing related record with all the needed information and paste it to the newly created related record on the desired feature. The problem is that the Parent GlobalID also is copied and pasted. Making the exercise difficult. If you just paste and save the NEW record moves to the parent record it was copied from. UNTIL NOW!. If you paste the record and scroll down to the Parent GlobalID. Highlight the field (careful not to get the curser active in the actual GlobalID window) RIGHT CLICK and pick REVERT. The GlobalID will change back to the original Parent GlobalID and the record will stay with the original object as desired. Update any needed attributes and click apply.
Happy Editing!
