How the Universe Conspires for Your Author Success!

It is as if, by magic, positive things start to happen when you make a firm commitment to an action—such as writing your book.
Just recently, when I announced my new book and my book launch event, a flurry of unexpected yet welcome opportunities emerged.
Within the first three days of my announcement
?? I was invited to return as a guest on a highly popular podcast.
?? An industry titan invited me to an in-person event. We've been connected for years but have not yet met.
?? My calendar filled with a surge of book mentoring prospects scheduling appointments
?? A dear friend from my study abroad program in Paris—where my book was birthed—reached out to me after we hadn’t spoken for 25 years.
Magic? Coincidence? No, I signaled to the universe that I was stepping up, that I was committed, and that I was taking action. And the universe responded.
That sounds a bit woo-woo. I am okay with that; there is an energetic component to our thoughts and actions.
The commitment behind my book announcement and launch signals to the world, as well as my online network and connections, that I am an action-taker and a thought leader with something to say. It demonstrates that I am taking a risk and putting myself out there.
In more earthly terms, it captured people’s attention and elevated their impression of me, prompting them to want to connect with me.
Think about it for a moment: the last time you saw someone post on LinkedIn about a big event, achievement, activity, or action they were taking—what did you think about it and them? Maybe you now hold them in higher esteem. Perhaps you checked them out—rereading their bio or reading some of their posts. Or you wanted to reach out and connect with them or invite them to be a guest on your podcast.
The same will happen when you commit to writing your book and start to share about it. As an author, even before your book is completed, you create a powerful magnetic attraction.
You can leverage that commitment for better and bigger opportunities now - even before you have written your book.

You haven’t written your book yet, but the universe and many of those opportunities don’t care.
It helps to have your book title—or at least a working title—selected, but it isn’t required.
Simply make the commitment, declare your intention, and share it publicly. Here’s how you can phrase it: “John Doe, Author of XYZ, Publication Fall 2025.”
Think of this as your pre-publication book tour. You get to talk about the book leading up to its publication and beyond!
Please come back and share your experience!
If you’d like to commit to your book in 2025 and start experiencing the magic, I can help. I offer one-on-one book mentoring, group programs, and writing retreats. Let’s chat.
