#6 HOW TO UNDERSTAND OUR KARMA AND OUR DESTINY USING ASTROLOGY?

Did you know that Astrology is a science that can help us understand our Karma and our Destiny, which is simply the result of our Karma? Did you know that our astrological birth chart represents the fruits of our past karma, good and bad, which we must face in this lifetime and accept as our Destiny? ?

ASTROLOGY AND KARMA ?

Astrology is a science which helps us understand our Karma and the results of our Karma. Our astrological birth chart represents the fruits of our past karma, good and bad, which we must face in this particular lifetime and accept as our Destiny, with grace and strength. Our birth chart is like the opening balance sheet of our karmic debt and credit that is due to us in this lifetime, based on our closing balance sheet of debt and credit in our previous lifetime. And all this debt and credit is based on nothing but the soul’s karma whether in this lifetime or previous lifetimes.?

The good times we experience in life, are not random bouts of luck but the blessings of our own past positive karma in this lifetime or past lives. Similarly the tough times we may face, are again not random bouts of bad luck or punishment by Life or God, but the result of our own negative past karma coming back to us, karma which we may have accumulated in many past lives and which we are mostly unaware of and hence we are most resistant to accept.?

INTERPLAY BETWEEN KARMA, DESTINY AND FREEWILL

When we talk about Karma, it is very important to understand the interplay between Karma and Freewill, so that at no point in time we feel like a helpless victim of our Destiny, who is powerless to change their situation or their life. And that is where our Freewill comes into play.?

The Universe operates on the simple yet profound, mysterious and awe-inspiring principle of Karma.?

OUR KARMA = The Energy we radiate out in terms of our thoughts, words and actions (based on our FREEWILL in a moment & over which we have full control)

OUR DESTINY = The Energy we then receive back at some later point in time, in terms of people, situations, experiences that seem to happen to us, that seem to come our way out of nowhere (over which we do not have any control and we must face them).

The reason we say we have no control of our Destiny, is because we cannot change what comes to us. It has already been decided by our past Karma. Once we have radiated the energy out (our karma) we cannot control how and when that energy comes back to us (our destiny). Hence, we must accept the people, situations etc that seem to just happen to us out of nowhere. While we cannot escape the consequences of our past Karma, we are certainly not powerless in the face of it. We still have our Freewill to choose how we face, in the present moment, whatever comes our way, good or bad. This Freewill to choose our reaction i.e. our thoughts, words and actions, to things, people, situations and experiences in turn decides our future or our Destiny. And so the cycle of Karma and Destiny goes on.?And on.

KARMA AND ACCEPTANCE

It is often very difficult for us to accept what we are facing in life, as a product of our own creation, our own Karma, our own actions. And this resistance is understandable since we are unaware of what we may have done or not done in our past lives. And it feels somewhat unfair to be facing consequences for something we don't even know we did.

While it seems easier to accept smaller incidents, a minor loss, a small obstacle, a small setback as a result of our own karma and to link it to some action in the past, there are certain situations in life which are so painful and traumatic that accepting that experience as our very own creation seems outright impossible - the death of a loved one, loss of a child, loss of a parent, loss of a loving relationship, a traumatic childhood, being born with a disability, a major life-threatening illness etc.

In such tough times, we are tempted to lash out at God, at Life and at other people as being the source of our pain. In that moment, a mere intellectual understanding of Karma does not reduce our pain, nor does it make it any easier to accept the pain. It is then that we must seek Strength and Guidance from God or from the Source, to heal us with His Love and to give us enough Strength to face the reality and overcome the situation eventually.?

STRENGTH TO ACCEPT OUR KARMA

There is no greater power in this Universe than that of the Supreme Almighty, the Source of everything. And we can always seek Him for Strength and Guidance.

Our own Soul, is the next most powerful and wise being. Again, we can always look within ourselves for Strength and Guidance. Our soul knows what is best for us and what we need to do in order to face the situation. It will guide us like a dear loved one would.?
