How to understand the new language of business

Suppose my previous article encouraged you to try No Code Apps. In that case, I hope you will also retake my word and investigate keywords that will help you find your right customers on the Internet and attract traffic to your new app, software, or website you are developing.

Let's start by understanding what keywords are. To your surprise, I'm not referring to the plethora of acronyms you already know; I don't mean any programming code either. I am talking about the new language of business, the variable of change that will allow you to remain active on the web, the new way of thinking of the online market.

You will rely on them, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for a better search response of our business on the Internet.

Purpose of keywords for your business:

Keywords are the combination of words you type in the search engine when you want to find something. These describe the theme developed in a particular URL and facilitate its location through search engines, which track the content with their robots-algorithms to classify it and thus throw thousands of options from which you may find the solution for what you are looking for.

The consultancy considers keywords valuable dissemination opportunities that deserve a detailed, structured, and prioritized study within the efforts dedicated to digital marketing and positioning on the network.

There are three types of keywords:

? Generic (Head) or hyper-simple keywords with high search volume that have shallow conversion and are often difficult to rank for (e.g., "ball").

? Medium tail (Body), which, as its name implies, is a shorter and invariable version of the keyword (for example, "soccer ball").

? Longtail is a possible variation of the same word and shows a greater purchase intention than other keywords. We will continue with the same example of the user and the ball, now more accurate in its search (for example, "blue soccer ball with red synthetic leather").

Which of the above do you think has the grandest purchase intention? Perhaps the word "ball" is more generic and perceives more results, but clearly, the long-tail option would yield more specific alternatives with a high power of persuasion and purchase for the user.

Why do I need keywords for my business?

The power of influence of a keyword is such that it can shed information on the type of communication that your brand should have, as well as the focus on your strategic planning, the packaging of your product,, or the adaptation of your service to an emerging need. Before we start investigating them, answer the following questions:

1. Do you know whom you are selling to?

You may discover new consumer profiles in addition to the target audience you are targeting. This would imply creating different marketing strategies for each audience or niche, depending on the keywords you define your business.

2. Do you know how the customer is seeking your help?

The storytelling that the company communicates to the client (for example, "automotive solutions within your reach"). Another is the story with which the client writes what he thinks you offer (for example, "the best tires of the city" and that you be one of the first options he sees). Perhaps the client uses a keyword that you had not considered, and the ones you thought were "correct" respond to other needs that you still serve, but not precisely the ones you want to show.

3. After steps 1 and 2, start your keyword list.

Write a list with all the categories to which your company belongs (there are no limits and there are no good or bad categories) and for each one, write ten keywords. Once you have this list, you will choose more options from the following keyword search engines that best suit your value offer.

SEM (Search Engine Marketing) to take advantage of your keywords

It's time to make the web work for you. I recommend that you consider including these keywords in some of the following sites for the algorithm to take effect and boost your digital positioning:

? In your company URL

? In the main title in the Home (first look at your website)

? In the content (without abusing, or later it will seem spam)

? In the meta description (that is, the first 40 words of the post)

Keyword research is almost the same as doing market research. From here arises the SEM discipline (Web Search Engine Marketing), with which you can support yourself to establish the structure of organic and paid traffic that you want to attract to your site.

Some of the terms you'll need to familiarize yourself with in addition to the ones I wrote above range from text ads, ad group, search networks, impressions, quality scores, CTRs (earned click-through rates), CPCs (cost per click), CAC (customer acquisition costs) and CPAs (costs per acquisition).
