If you don’t understand what value you bring to the table…?
It can put you out of business.?
Case in point…?
I got the following message from one of my clients last week.?
“I absolutely love your style of writing. But unfortunately, it hasn’t brought me any clients and I haven’t made any money. I’m going to have to discontinue your services.”?
I always strive to try to make my clients happy…?
So I immediately asked if we could book a call to figure out where the problem was.
She agreed and we booked the call.??
Come to find out the problem wasn’t with the copy I’d written for her…??
Thanks to the copy she was able to book 13 discovery calls last month with potential clients.?
The problem was in her understanding of her own value.?
Out of the 13 calls she came up empty-handed…?
She was so worried about getting clients and making money she would sabotage her discovery calls.?
I offered several solutions on the call to help her fix her problem that ranged from hiring an actual closer to getting some discovery call training…
But every solution was met with the same response.?
I can’t afford that because I’m not making any money…?
And I’m not making any money because I can’t get any clients.?
Which leads to the question…?
Why in the world would someone hire you for your services or buy your products?
There is only 1 reason why people will hire you…?
And that reason lies in the definition of what money actually is…?
Money is actually nothing more than stored value.?
That’s it.?
Here’s how it works…
Your potential clients have gone out and sold something or worked for somebody else and then that person gave them money.?
They gave that person value and in return for the value they got money back.?
And now they are on the hunt to find you…?
So that they can give you money in exchange for your value.?
This is called money velocity.?
It’s how money moves.?
How fast it moves is based on the speed of the value that is given in exchange.?
The question that you have to ask yourself as an entrepreneur… is what value are you actually bringing to the table??
My client in my story couldn’t see the value that she was bringing to the table…?
This caused her to start questioning the value of not only me but everyone that was involved in her process…
And the value of money itself.??
In my 5 years as a copywriter, I’ve noticed that there are only 2 reasons why someone would give you their money in exchange for value...??
But it works extremely well because it leads to trust.?
We as human beings make decisions based on emotions.?

Your clients do exactly the same thing.?
And it doesn’t matter what their title is…?
They can be a CEO, VP, Marketing Director, Content Director, Entrepreneur, Business Owner…
Just because they have a title doesn’t mean that all of their emotions go automatically out the window.?
People with titles are all still humans…?
And your potential clients are humans…
Humans who will give you money in exchange for value because they like you.?
Now if you don’t deliver any value, or if you bomb projects, or if your products don’t work…
They will stop liking you and the value exchange will end.?
Also if you never open up and you don’t tell your story…?
Then you are never going to build a bond that creates those likable feelings…?
And your potential clients will never like you.?
So the best advice I can give is just to be authentically you.?
2. Because they trust you to create solutions. What kind of solutions are you going to create for them??
Solutions that bring them significance. ?
I mean think about it…
Why do people spend an enormous amount of time building huge businesses to go out and blow all their money on big houses, Fararris, boats, and jets??
Because they want to look significant in front of their fellow man or woman.?
Why do we go to great lengths to woo our lovers??
Because we want to be significant in their life.?
The number 1 driver to purchase anything is a feeling of significance.?
Here’s The Real Deal?
If you want more clients…?
And you want to make more money…?
Then you need to make sure you are bringing value to the table.?
The type of value that will actually change someone's life.?
There are 2 categories of value that you can bring…
One is just being authentically you which makes the right kind of people like you…?
And 2 is bringing a solution to a problem that has significance.?
If you can remember these 2 things as you are writing content…?
Then your potential clients will not hesitate to buy your products or services.?
Speaking about buying a product I better go.
The Green Goats used their money to buy something that they thought would be of great value…?
A remote control helicopter.?
They are currently using it to torture that poor fainting goat.?
Anytime he can hear the propeller on it get close to him he faints.?
They are having a great time chasing him down the street with it.
I better go stop them before that poor fainting goat has a heart attack.?
Remember the fastest way to get more clients or make more money is to recognize your own value.?

1 年I'm definitely a slow reader because it took me longer than four minutes, but you're bang on. Especially about people giving you money because they like you. People in B2B don't like to hear this, but it's exactly the same as B2C marketing.
