Who I Am
As the CEO of Podcast Profits Limited, my mission is to assist coaches and experts in designing, launching, and growing their podcasts. But I don’t just stop at the launch. My focus is on transforming podcasts into effective sales vehicles that drive real business success. For me, podcasting is the most enjoyable part of my business—not just because of the creative freedom it offers but because of the incredible people I get to meet, like you, who are eager to share their message with the world.
My Journey: From Summit to Sales
My journey into podcasting wasn’t something I meticulously planned. It all started during the early days of the pandemic when I organized an online summit with 20 coaches to lift people’s spirits. The success of that summit opened an unexpected door—a weekly radio show. Even though I had no prior experience, I jumped in with both feet, driven by my love for interviewing people and my curiosity about their journeys.
The show, originally called Coffee with Karen: A Cup of Positivity with a Sprinkling of Woo Woo, began as a fun project where I interviewed coaches and therapists. However, I quickly realized that my podcast needed to align more closely with my business goals if I wanted to see a return on investment (ROI).
The Hard Lesson I Learned: 90% of Podcasters Don’t Make It
One of the most eye-opening moments for me was receiving an email from a podcast host in my network saying they weren’t renewing. By that point, 14 podcast hosts had already given up on their shows. That’s when I learned a hard truth: 90% of podcasters don’t make it past three episodes, and of those who do, 90% don’t make it past 20.
I knew something had to change. My podcast needed to be in perfect alignment with my business—helping people start, grow, and profit from their podcasts. With that in mind, I revamped my approach, focusing on providing more support and a clear strategy for my clients.

The Importance of Consistency and Clarity
One of the biggest takeaways from my journey is the importance of consistency. Showing up consistently is 99% of the battle. Whether it’s a weekly podcast episode or any other business task, committing to show up is crucial. For me, having a weekly radio show provided the accountability I needed, and it’s something I believe is essential for all entrepreneurs.
Clarity is equally important. When coaches or experts start a podcast without a clear strategy or alignment with their core offer, they often end up overwhelmed and confused. This confusion leads to inaction. That’s why I emphasize the need to create a podcast with the end goal in mind. By aligning your podcast with your business and brand, you set yourself up for success.
How I Turn Listeners into Clients
One of the most valuable pieces of advice I can offer is how to turn podcast listeners into clients. The key is to simplify and align everything with your brand. My podcast, Podcast Profits Unleashed, ties directly to my website, my workshops, and my core offer. By making it crystal clear what I do, I ensure that listeners know exactly how I can help them.
But it’s not just about branding; it’s also about creating the right content. I believe each podcast episode should be well-thought-out and strategically designed to attract or even create your ideal client.
