Profile picture

This is your opportunity to make a great first impression. I recommend you to pick a photo that represents you well and helps you build credibility. I've never understood why some people choose a cartoon or some other picture that will lower their chances to be taken seriously and get replies when you network on LinkedIn. Choose wisely!

This is your short elevator pitch to get people to visit your profile and interact with you.?This is such a massive opportunity as this is what people see when you comment on other people's posts. Your tagline follows you everywhere on LinkedIn. Make people curious to find out more.

Here's a great feature that I really HOPE LinkedIn let us keep ??

In the Intro section on your profile you can add a website link and a website text. This is cool if you have a website, podcast, a social media following on other platforms, or any other place you want to send people to. If you have several places, you can claim your Linktree or Matcha and add multiple links. Both are free.

Featured section

The featured section is where you can showcase how people can work with you with a clear call to action. I have chosen to highlight that people can book GTM consulting calls with me, sign up to my newsletter and work with me 1:1 to build their personal brand and audience on LinkedIn. You can also add Stripe for payments and Calendly to book calls with you directly.

About / Summary

As tempting as it is, don't share your whole life story here ?? You have a few seconds to grab people's attention. If your text is too long, you will loose the visitor. Pick selectively what you want people to learn about you.

This is the structure I recommend to people that I help to build their personal brands in my programs. Feel free to use it if you like. It's basically what I've done in the past, what I do today, previous results and how people can reach me.
