Failing at your diet could be the best thing which makes your whole transformation successful.
When you’re dieting to get in shape and achieve a six-pack which has escaped you for many years. . .
You’ll think you need to be perfect and strict with your diet 100% of the time.
In fact, it’s completely the opposite.
“Failure” whatever that means, only happens if you quit.
Everything else is just part of the process.
With modern day society, you’re conditioned into thinking success is only achieved if you are “on it” 100% of the time. . .
Forgetting that if you mess up, it's simply part of the process.
You see, when you mess up on your diet, your actions after are what determines your success. . .
Not whether you ate too much one night or not.
A successful diet takes place over many weeks and months.
Beating yourself up over a couple of extra slices of pizza in front of the TV with the family is what is really hurting your progress.
You didn’t fail your diet because you shared some ice cream at the cinema with your kids. . .
You failed your diet because you let that one scenario dictate whether you continued to track your food or not.
The biggest issue with fad diets and diet culture is this idea we’re either on or off track.
Thinking if you’re not on it, you’re failing. It’s also what adds to the idea that certain foods are “bad” or unhealthy”.
Alex Hormozi, the businessman worth multi millions of dollars, built his empire by focusing on what defines his wins.
He says he can only lose in one way.
You see, when he starts a new business venture, his definition of whether it’s a success or not isn’t by how much money he makes. . .
It is as simple as whether he quits or not.
In life, in business, in training and dieting, life will get hard at times.
Alex knows this, and so do you.
Alex completely reframes his whole narrative, to redefine what makes him successful.
He says simply by NOT quitting at something, it makes him a winner.
He can only fail if he quits.

Did you have a bad day at the gym and miss out on your numbers?
What did you learn?
You now understand you need to prioritise your rest and sleep, recovery and diet if you want to have better training sessions at the gym.
Get right back on track with your training the next day after a decent night's rest and sleep.
You only fail if you quit.
Eaten a bit more than planned when you were out to dinner with a prospect?
What did you learn?
You now understand you need to plan to indulge a little more if you’re entertaining prospects.
You only fail if you quit.
It’s what you do in the days, hours and weeks after a given event which defines you and whether your transformation is a success.
The questions to ask yourself are:
????????
- What am I learning from this?
- What will I do differently next time?
- What would I do if I had to face this same situation again?
It’s easy to think your progression will be linear.
This is rarely the case
Success doesn’t come from winning at everything all of the time.
You need slip ups and downfalls in life so you can learn from experiences.
It’s these experiences which build your character and set you up for bigger wins and successes in the future.
????????
The stronger your character, the more resilient you become.
The more resilient you become, the higher the probability of you staying on track the next time around.
????????
Know that you may be one small step away from getting back in shape, if you decide to turn your “failures” into lessons.
????????
In fact, your failures are there to show you how to have more success.
????????
Reframe your failures.
????????
Learn from them.
????????
And use them to get back in shape.
