I can't do that because...
I can't apply for that job because they want 10 years of experience and I only have 6.
I can't reach out to the CEO cause I'm only a director.
I?can't take time off because they will think I don't care.
I can't ask for a meeting with my manager because they are too busy.
I can't ask for direct feedback because that will make me look like I'm not confident.
Are you seeking excuses or reasons?
I can apply to that job because the only way to ensure I don't get an interview is?to not apply.
I can reach out to the CEO because the relationship could be priceless.
I?can take time off because life is more than work.
I?can ask my manager for a meeting because their role is to support me.
I?can ask for direct feedback because it'll help me grow.

Every excuse you use to avoid something can be reframed into a reason to take action.
Next time you are confronted with a choice, avoid convincing yourself why it's not going to work and instead create reasons why it will.
The more you practice seeking reasons instead of excuses, the easier it will become, and the more opportunities you will create for yourself.
Thanks for listening everyone, remember you are the most important leader of your career.
