How to turn any conversation from cold to warm instantly.

What counts is: who knows you. Make it your goal to find ways to cause everyone you’re connected with to be glad that they know you. Learn what they value, then give so much value to them that they’ll not only get results but they will never want to change working with you or lose their connection with you.

This is a strong business development strategy that wins for BOTH parties.

Here are 5 questions to ask that will help you make any cold conversation warm and create strong wealth-building, life changing relationships:

1. What are you working on this year that’s really exciting for you? Everyone works on task items daily or on projects that are boring but necessary. Ask them about their passion project. What really excites them.? It shows you are genuinely interested in them and what they love.

2. Why do you do what you do? versus What do you do? The word “what” doesn’t allow you to build a foundation for a genuine relationship. Asking them “why” provides you greater insights and provides you the opportunity to expand the conversation.

3. Do you have the same challenge? And/or what is their challenge? I never ask them what their challenge is without sharing one of mine first. Start by sharing a story of your own, be truthful about your biggest challenge at work. THEN ask them.

4. What do you love to do when you are not at work? Are they like me, faced with creating more time in their lives for the things you love the most?

5. Do you have children? If they answer Yes, ask them, “What is your child’s biggest accomplishment?” If they answer no, tell them briefly about yours and then direct the conversation to the one of the other questions in this list. For instance, I have twin daughters and I am always faced with the challenge of balancing my time between motherhood and work. Are you faced with balancing your time between work and something you love?

When you are prepared, you are more confident. Confidence will help you to engage in conversations.

And if you’ve been struggling with finding the right questions to ask, effective ways to spark conversation immediately or getting them to tell you all about them without ever having to say a work, guess what?

I’m going to show you some kick-butt questions to overcome those challenges and make you remembered ever single time.

To get all this great value, my friend, there’s just one thing I need from you:

Show. Up.

Seriously. That’s all you gotta do! Show with these 25 questions and you are off to having some of the most engaging conversations you have ever had.

Always be your best,

Lisa
