Fear of failure, unwillingness to delegate responsibilities, and procrastination are just a few of the ways this lack of trust can manifest.

For me, growing up in a household with an alcoholic father and a mother dealing with the aftermath, trust was a foreign concept. It was hard for me to trust others and even harder to trust myself. When I started my business, these trust issues came to the forefront, making it even more challenging to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

Trusting the Journey

As entrepreneurs, we know that the journey is rarely a straight path. There are hills and valleys, successes and failures. It's easy to lose faith when things don't go as planned, but that's precisely when trust becomes crucial. Trusting the journey means surrendering to a higher power, whether you call it God, the universe, or something else. It means acknowledging that there is a plan beyond our understanding and that everything will work out in the end.

Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, is a prime example of someone who trusted the journey. When he was ousted as CEO of the company he helped build, he could have given up. But instead, he turned to his spirituality, practicing meditation and seeking guidance from a higher power. This trust in the journey ultimately led him back to Apple, where he played a pivotal role in its success.

Letting go and letting God is a phrase we often hear, but it's not always easy to put into practice. It requires surrendering our need for control and trusting that there is a higher power guiding us. I've experienced the power of trust in my own life and business. When I had to postpone a workshop multiple times due to unforeseen circumstances, it would have been easy to give up. But I trusted that everything would work out, and it did. The workshop eventually took place, and it was a success, despite the challenges I faced.

Embracing Synchronicities

Trusting the journey also means being open to synchronicities—those meaningful coincidences that validate we are on the right path. When we let go of control and surrender to a higher power, we start noticing these synchronicities in our lives. They serve as reminders that we are supported and guided, even when things don't go as planned.

For example, when I decided to write a book about love, it seemed like a crazy idea. But as I meditated and asked for guidance, opportunities started presenting themselves. I received an email from Hay House, a renowned publisher, offering a writer's boot camp. It was a sign that I was on the right path, and I seized the opportunity. Trusting the journey led me to publish my book and connect with amazing people.

The Importance of Taking Action

Trusting the journey doesn't mean sitting back and waiting for things to happen. It requires persistence and taking action. While surrendering to a higher power is essential, we must also do the work necessary to grow our businesses. Trusting the journey means trusting that our efforts will pay off, even if the results aren't immediate or as expected.
