How to Trick Your Brainwaves?

How to Trick Your Brainwaves?

I’m sure at some point you’ve come across?binaural beats?on youtube that claim to heal and balance the mind/body/spirit but do they really work? And, most importantly, how do they work?

Let’s start by covering your?5 brainwave states?and the effects they have on your mind, body & energy fields.

When you listen to your favorite healing music, that frequency goes into your ears and then into your brain. Depending on the sounds you are listening to, that frequency has the ability to stimulate and activate the different?brainwave states?listed below:

  1. Delta brainwaves (1–3 Hz)?are the slowest, highest amplitude brain waves, and are what we experience when we are asleep. As we transition into deeper sleep stages, our brain switches from theta waves to delta waves.
  2. Theta brainwaves (4–7 Hz)?aid the body and mind in experiencing enhanced rejuvenation, growth, and healing. Due to the deep levels of relaxation that theta brainwaves facilitate, the body and mind are easily able to restore themselves during and after illness, as well as after mental burnout and physical exertion.
  3. Alpha brainwaves (8–12 Hz)?are slower and larger. They are associated with a state of relaxation and represent the brain shifting into an idling gear, waiting to respond when needed. Regular meditation has been shown to increase?alpha?waves
  4. Beta brainwaves (13–38 Hz)?are small, faster brainwaves associated with a state of mental, intellectual activity and outwardly focused concentration. This is basically a state of alertness.
  5. Gamma brainwaves (39–42 Hz)?are the fastest and most subtle brain waves. Gamma rhythms modulate perception, consciousness and allow us to be in tune with our surroundings

Did you know that listening to?binaural beats?can create something called “brainwave entrainment”? Brainwave entrainment techniques, such as the use of?isochronic tones, are being studied as a potential therapy for a variety of health conditions.

Brainwave entrainment is any method that causes your brainwave frequencies to fall into step with a specific frequency. It’s based on the concept that the human brain has a tendency to change its dominant?EEG frequency?towards the frequency of a dominant external stimulus (such as music, or sound).

The type of sound frequencies that are typically used in brainwave entrainment are called “binaural” beats. The way that these work is that two tones close in frequency generate a beat frequency at the difference of the frequencies.

I know this sounds complicated, but it’s pretty simple to understand when you think about it. For example, a?495 Hz?audio tone and?505 Hz?audio tone (whether overlaid in music or in a sound frequency) will produce a?10 Hz?beat, roughly in the middle of the?alpha?brain wave range, like this:

Now, let’s take this a step further, our body is made up of 99.9 % water molecules and 0.1% ions!

Dr. Masaru Emoto's music studies are just one of the many great visual examples of what sound does to water. These studies demonstrate how certain types of sound, like classical music, generate beautiful crystalline patterns, while heavy metal music, generates ugly and distorted crystalline formations. In the images below you see the crystalline formation resulting from water being exposed to?Mozart’s Symphony №40?and then in contrast what the water crystal image looks like after listening to heavy metal music.

Now can you imagine what sound is doing to the fluid within your human body? Take a second to think about it or better yet give it try for yourself and see how it makes you feel, you won’t be disappointed, I promise.

What's really cool - there's this free audio app called SynthEdit. www.synthedit.com that allows one to build a DSP/modular synthesis from scratch. Buy using the default oscillator(s) set to sine waves - one can build a binural patch/sound and custom entire the hz and-or voltage values to set the frequency of the oscillator(s). This allows anyone to make their own custom binaural sounds at any frequency they wish to.
