How to Track Response with Informed Visibility – Short Version
DIY way:
This is the Intelligent Mail barcode that should go on your BRE:
- Barcode ID: 00
- Service Type ID: 032 (030 for Courtesy Reply)
- MID: Your MID
- Serial/Sequence Number: Whatever you like – pick one for the job
- Routing Code/ZIP+4: The same one you’ve always had on your BRE’s
Your mailing nerds know what all these things are.
Print this barcode on your reply envelopes instead of that one you’ve been using. Your reply envelope is now trackable. If you use your MID, you’ll need to sign up for Informed Visibility to get raw data, and task an IT guy with interpreting that data – every damn day.
