How to track events on the page without access to GTM – short instruction

Sometimes for security reasons, an employee has no access to some important UX analyze instruments like GTM.
Thus, here I show you how to track events on the site with only GA access.
Our aim is to track event called buynow. We can see this event on the list of events from GA, but we didn’t know exactly where this event was fired. Let’s check it.
For this purpose, open menu of GA and find the following path
Behavior – Events -Top events
In the right part of the window, you can see a list of events, choose your event from the list, and click on it.
The next table is triggers of this event. A trigger is an action that user performed on the site and makes event to life. Examples of a trigger are clicking on a link, playing a video, etc.
On the top panel choose secondary dimension and type in the filed page.
Voila, we can see all pages where events are fired.
Advice 1. If all pages are different, you could find your event on the same part of the site for each page like header, footer or menu.
Advice 2. If you know the page where some event was fired but didn’t know the event name, you can choose the following way – Behavior-Events- Page. In secondary dimension, you can type Event category and find your event
