Or is it just me? ??
??Life Stages for many women:
0-11 - gender conditioning, be a good girl, submissive, listen, play small
11-18 - periods, hormones, gender identity, confusion, study, get a job.
18-30 - career, not paid enough, prove yourself, overgiving, 1/4 life crisis.
30-40 - get married, have babies?? - damned if you do, damned if you don't.
40-60 - career confusion, empty nester, redundancy, divorce, MENOPAUSE!
I mean...seriously...WTF!

TO... Embark on a journey of SELF-DISCOVERY.

1. Create Space To Embrace Self-Reflection:
Mid-life is a time of transition and self-reflection. It's good to get some alone time and take the opportunity to pause, reassess your values, passions, and goals.
??This was the most profound moment for me, when I was in the throws of my very messy divorce.
Engage in introspection and journaling to gain clarity on what truly matters to you. Think about moments when you experienced total joy.
??This exercise can be such a turning point for many as it creates the decider between saying YES or NO to anything in life, hereafter!
By understanding yourself better, you can make choices aligned with your authentic self and your values, making way for personal fulfillment.
2. Value Your Strengths, Explore Your Interests:
This is the perfect time to fully embrace your strengths and explore your own interests. MAKE A LIST!
??Oftentimes, we live for our kids, or partner, or family, or job.
??Go pursue activities and hobbies that bring you joy and fulfillment.
Whether it's painting, writing, volunteering, or starting a new business venture, invest time in what makes your heart sing.
By tapping into your passions, you'll make valuable space to unlock your true potential and discover new aspects of your authentic self you may never have met before.
3. Prioritise Your Self-Care (because nobody else will):
Self-care is essential for well-being at any age, but it becomes even more crucial during mid-life.

?There's a reason why self-care is the buzzword of today!
Make self-care a non-negotiable priority.
??Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul.
This could include regular exercise, a healthy diet, mindfulness practices, quality sleep, and spending time with loved ones.
??When you prioritise self-care, you replenish your energy and approach life with renewed vigor and enthusiasm. (and we all NEED that!)
4. Cultivate a Growth Mindset (vital for learning new tools):
A growth mindset is the belief that your abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work.
It also means that everything is possible.
Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
This creates a love of learning and resilience to keep going.
?? During my toughest times I threw myself into reading lots of personal growth and self-development books, to being coached and mentored and to loving and accepting myself.
Pursue new skills, take on projects that stretch your limits, and surround yourself with a supportive network of individuals who encourage and inspire you.
??By cultivating a growth mindset, you'll continually evolve and unleash your untapped potential (and just think of what you can achieve!)
5. Build a Supportive Network (your SISTERHOOD, my sister!):
Connect with like-minded women who are also navigating the mid-life journey. Join professional and social networks that foster personal growth, empowerment, and support.
?? I'm not just saying this but seriously, having a network of women that want the best for you, genuinely, and are ready to hold your hand no matter what, will give you motivation and courage.
Engage in meaningful conversations, attend workshops or conferences, and build relationships that uplift and inspire you.
A supportive network will provide encouragement, guidance, and a sense of belonging as you embark on your journey of self-discovery.

??Remember, mid-life is not a time of limitations but an opportunity for reinvention and personal growth.
?? Embrace this stage of life with open arms, knowing that your authentic self has so much to offer the world.

1 年?? Rocking midlife is being able to love and accept yourself and embracing the highs but also being compassionate and forgiving to the messiness too!
