How three MIT alums transformed MIT into a criminal organization over the past 20 years.

Three MIT alums have proven that they can commit the most extraordinary crimes — partnering with Russian weapon manufacturers, setting up Jeffrey Epstein for blackmail operations at the Media Lab, fraudulent research that raises millions of dollars with an empty box that promises to feed a starving world — all of it violating the safety of the MIT student community, all of it violating two centuries of integrity and excellence in science and engineering — and get away with it. There won't be any attorney general investigation, no Boston Globe spotlight. Not a peep.

When MIT's first woman president, Susan Hockfield, resigned unexpectedly on February 16, 2012, just 7 years after taking office, it was because of these criminals.

It wasn't "the Institute". It was John Deutch, setting up the "innovation ecosystem" with Russian oligarchs and weapon developers.

That was the original for-profit 2030 Capital Plan that Israel Ruiz was appointed in October 2011 to execute in Kendall Square, tearing down graduate housing while launching his own pre-fab construction company, WoHo Systems (https://woho.us/about/) with $4.5 million in investments from the VC scam that he also set up, The Engine (engine.xyz).

Israel Ruiz, recall, was one of three powerless MIT vice presidents, who, with the best of intentions, set up the system of anonymous donations for Jeffrey Epstein at the Media Lab. Powerless one minute, all powerful the next. Just depends what circumstances call for.

What is so bizarre and inexplicable is that all this corruption and crime comes at the expense of the twin towers of MIT's reputation, the schools of Science and Engineering. Starting in 2010 with the appointment of John Reed as Chair of the MIT Executive Committee, liars and profiteers were put in charge of every major office at MIT, while honest administrators walked away and faculty watched silently from the sidelines.

If Charles Vest could see how quickly MIT devolved once he stepped down in December 2003!

...the time is fast approaching when MIT should benefit from the renewal that comes with selecting a new president and developing the next stage of its vision and programs.

Vest' legal battles for affirmative action raised MIT to the ethical level of its science and engineering. That was then. Now MIT's Executive Committee hires teams of criminal defense attorneys, disguised as "outside investigators," to wage war on the MIT community, while a new generation of leaders sacrifice their reputations to maintain this legacy of corruption and crime.

It's a sick joke that, thanks to MIT, Charles Koch, John Deutch, and John Reed are the voice of science and climate action. If we survive the coming horrors, MIT is going to have a lot to answer for.
