How Tapping into Your Intuition Can Prevent Burnout

How Tapping into Your Intuition Can Prevent Burnout

Last weekend I took my kids to see the new Top Gun movie. It was a great reminder about the decisions we have to make every single day – do we follow the rules obediently or do we allow ourselves to play sometimes? Can we be more like Maverick who took chances and lived full out because he followed his heart?

What holds us back? Why don’t we play full out??Mostly?because we worry about failure, we worry about judgment, we worry about all of these things that we don't have evidence for. And if Mavericks like Steve Jobs, Einstein, orTesla had done that, where would we be today?

I invite you to learn how to tap into your intuition this week so you can live full out and prevent burnout.

One of the biggest fears people have is the fear of being themselves. That’s because they are afraid of what other people might think of them. This exact fear is what leads us to worry about how we are being perceived, it keeps us playing small in an effort to avoid criticism, and prevents us from being authentically who we are.?

When you hold back from others who you truly are, the costs are great. Not only does this affect your ability to connect to others in a meaningful way, it can indirectly lead to burnout.?

Certainly, there are many reasons why people burn out, but one of them is being stuck in a job you’re out of alignment with or feeling like you don’t jive with the people around you at work.?

In this week's blog article, I share the connection between intuition and burnout. Specifically, we’ll explore what intuition looks like, how you can tap into it, and how doing so can help you prevent burnout.?

Have you lost the connection to your work? If so, erotic intelligence may be just what you need.

This week on Decode Your Burnout, my guest is Dr. Amy O'Hana who helps burned-out people fall in love with work again. In a sense, erotic intelligence, she assures us, is not necessarily about sexuality. Instead, it’s about feeling reconnected to our sense of purpose because when we are disconnected, we are burned out.

Amy debunks 3 myths related to burnout including:

1) I can fix my burnout by fixing my schedule or quitting my job

2) Men and women experience burnout the same way

3) Burnout is the same as depression

If you’re burned out,?don’t miss this episode!

Cameo Gore?is a working mom who needed clarity but was drowning in the noise in her head.?Her story is the story of most of us who are running around trying to accomplish things based on external ideas rather than listening to your intuition.

Like many of my clients, Cameo grew up in an unstable environment. Her father was an alcoholic. She became disconnected from intuition and was unhappy.

Once she started to listen to the small voice inside of her, she was able to push through to the other side. Let her message allow you to make your intuition your super power as well.
