How to Take Vacation When Work Never Stops?
Summer is all about holidays! And regardless of how much you worry about business continuity when your employees go on break, your staff members need vacation to re-charge and return to work energized and more effective.
Actually, you might want to give yourself some vacation time too! But it can be challenging for small business owners. As the CEO of a dynamic and rapidly-growing startup, I've been torn by this dilemma: "how do I go on vacation when there's always work to be done?"
Depending on the duration of your vacation, your tasks can be left unattended to for weeks! We all remember the feeling of that first terrifying encounter with our heap of overdue tasks after returning from a long break… and hundreds of emails that seem impossible to ever catch up with… Remember?
I realized that by delegating routine work and daily assignments while away I can finally unplug and enjoy a real vacation rather than the "workations" I had gotten used to.
So, there's my tip for the day. Why not to delegate tasks to a a remote worker that will release some of work pressure when you're at the beach, skiing or on that road trip with your kids?
Hiring competent and reliable remote workers for any project, assignment or task should be quick, easy and, most importantly, free! I took this essential concept and created XPlace: a great website to go to when you want to outsource a project or a vital task.
So, basically, XPlace is a freelance talent platform connecting clients with hand-picked freelance experts. If you have a project or work that can be done remotely, you are welcome to join our community to find almost any kind of skill or service.
If you haven't looked into it yet, check it out here: www.xplace.com/join
And please feel free to let me know if I can assist you in finding that ninja with the impossibly perfect combination of skills, years of experience and price point.

8 年My own impression from XPlace is something like from a place, where one is looking to hire a "genius" for price of hobbyist on one side and a people who are hobbyists, but thinking that as a freelancers them can earn more, than a salary. OK, OK, I know that companies present in XPlace as well. Anyway, if a company presents, it hires for a full-time position as a standard employee. WTF, is it the place for to hire freelancers? Anyway, it works, but a time wasted to make bids in front of deals isn't in good proportion.
