How To Take Business from Offline To Online?

Recently I received a question that “I have XYZ Type of Business. How Do I take My Offline Business to Online”.

So, I was recently having a discussion with a business and I suggested to them something that I would like to add over here too.?

Basically, if you think from a perspective of taking the entire business from offline to online, you are going to miss out on a lot of things and it's going to be very overwhelming, but when you break it down into pieces, then it becomes comparatively easier.

For example, I was having a discussion with ERP business who were running their entire business offline. So ERP is a school management software which they use to manage the activities of the entire school.

So that was their product and they wanted to know how to take it online. So, I asked them how do they currently operate and what process do they follow?

They told me that first, they find out the details of the school and the numbers of their owners. Then they reach out to them to fix an appointment and then they go to meet them.?

In the meeting, we show them the demo of the product, and then they take their call whether they want to use the product or not.

So now I got the exact blueprint, and we were ready to come to the solution on how to take this online.


Number 1: Reaching out to the prospects.

When you apply LinkedIn Filters, you can easily get the details of all school owners.

And not just in your own demographics, which was a problem when you were reaching out and going to meet them personally, now you can now reach out to any school in the world by sending them the personalized message. (that too can be automated).

So the first thing, you need to find targeted people with their relevant details and send them the reach out message which can be automated.


Number 2:

Create a landing page and put the demo video of your product on the page because your main concern is to make them see the demo video.

In your reach-out message, make sure that you send the prospect to your landing page and show them the demo video that tells them how the product will help them in their business.

So the purpose of showing the demo video gets solved here.

Next thing, the deal will be cracked on the one-to-one call. So what you need to do is to add a link to the appointment booking software so that your prospects can book a call with you. It can be Calendly or any other booking software.

The best part about this software is that they already have an in-built integration with zoom. So you would be adding your available timings and your prospects would be able to select dates and times according to their preference and book a call with you.

The links to the zoom invitation will be sent to both parties and both parties would also be receiving automated reminder emails.?

This will be more authoritative because they’ll be taking most of the actions and from your side, you have an automated and systematic process using which, you can scale your business to any level.?

In the past, where your business was only limited to the local demographic, now your business can reach any level and anyone in the entire world, and now you can keep on getting multiple appointments from there.

That’s how you need to break down all the pieces that what are the processes that happen in my business and when you understand all the processes that happen in your business and all the pieces of the puzzle in your business, then it becomes comparatively easier to take your business to the online level.

Of course, there will still be multiple things that would require human presence, and you can not replace them, but the majority of things can be taken online.

So automatically, the scalability of the work will increase because of that.

So break down the things and figure out the solutions that are available online. And of course, if you have somebody to guide you, maybe somebody you know or maybe your mentor who can tell you how can you take particular things online, then definitely that person would be helpful.

So yes, that’s how you break down things and take businesses online.
