Right now, it's super hard to stay motivated. ?
The world is upside down and feels like it's moving constantly and there doesn't feel a thing to grab onto. ?
?This means we have to create our own stability and our own future. ?
?Three things to helps you stay motivated: ?
1. Check in with your values. What matters most to you. Why are you doing what you do? Are your actions matching your values? Focus on the things that take you closer to the things that matter most. Reignite the drive towards what matters most. ?
2. Celebrate the wins. If we focus on our 'lack' of something or how we dissent; do those things, it’s hard to feel motivated. Change the focus to how you HAVE been winning. Big and small. We are all still like kids really and we love to feel celebrated. Champion yourself and watch how much more motivated you are to get more of that feeling. ?
?3. Shift things up. The environment you work in, the way you look, what you're doing. 'If you keep doing the same stuff, you'll keep getting the same sh*t'?.
So, as well as motivation, I want to talk to you about just getting started…
Isn't it easy to let one day blur into the other? It's so easy, right? ?
When I came up with the idea of touring The Happy Me Project workshops, did I really know how to do that? Nope.?
?Did I know if anyone would turn up? Course not.?
?Were there times when I didn't feel like it or that stuff was hard at home? HELL YEAH!?
?But I have made a commitment to myself and I'm going to urge you to do the same.?
?I show up for myself.?
?That means taking action every day towards the things in life I want. Knowing that my tiny daily habits are what will get me to all the amazing stuff I want.?
?Show up for yourself this week. You bloody deserve it.?
?Take a step towards learning something new, stepping out of your comfort zone, getting a bit brave and treating your mind and body with respect.?
This means…
Getting up and getting 'ready' is actually a very important factor in us feeling motivated and ready to work.?
?When I have a lot to do, I do my hair, make up, put on some perfume and feel 'done'. If I stay in my PJ's all day I'm way less productive.?
?How we dress is a reflection of how we feel or want to feel.?
?As I write this I'm in cycling shorts and an oversized sweatshirt (which I was laughed at for by my kids). Why? Because I wanted to feel motivated and aerobic today ;-) I got sh*t to do.?
"Like anything in life, we get to show up and be whoever we want to be.?"

3 年Fabulous article! I especially loved "Take a step towards learning?something new, stepping out of your comfort zone, getting a bit brave and treating your mind and body with respect.?" I'm running a 5-day challenge this week on FB. Never done one before! I'm going live every night (I hate doing videos), and I'm feeling my way through it, BUT the engagement has been incredible, we're all having fun, and I feel so proud of what I've achieved. Thanks for the reminder to check in and remind myself of the good stuff.
