How to tackle negative reviews? Some Useful tips for digital marketers to follow

In marketing or in branding perspective, we say a negative review is of a 1000V bulb whereas a positive review is only a 40V bulb. It simply means that even one negative review could damage the entire impression. But here's a way out.
Being in a public domain, reviews cannot be altered or edited by the brand. it's open to all and everyone can see it.
To sort the issue, first acknowledge the error and try to convince the person to study what went wrong and assure him or her that a prompt solution shall be offered. This might soothen their ill feelings and then request them to remove or edit the content.
Figure out how we can compensate the person for the error from our side or for which caused him to react negatively.
