How to survive a crisis with the keys to the kingdom of success

This last week I’ve been mad busy being dragged kicking and screaming into the modern age of social media. On Monday I published my own website and although it still needs a few tweaks it’s up and running. I also updated my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked in accounts.

In addition, I have made myself present on at least three other platforms. It has been a lot of work and it is all a far cry from where I was pre-coronavirus crisis. Like a lot of people I have basically been busy diversifying and reinventing myself. And that is the key to survival in a crisis. If you do nothing then that is exactly what you will get, nothing. Stagnation is your biggest enemy and you should do everything to avoid it.

So now I feel more than ready to embrace the brave new world that faces us. There are a great many challenges, but with an optimistic, positive ‘ I can do it ‘ mindset and attitude you can overcome those challenges and do virtually anything.

In the process of reinvention I have learn a new skillset. I never dreamt that I could build my own website. Last year I did investigate having a professional build me a website and the cost was too high, so I shelved the idea. With time on my hands due to the lockdown I decided to see if I could do it myself and found that I could. For just thirty English pounds I built the site and got it up and running. Not too shabby though I say so myself.

Whether anything will come of all this labour at the keyboard is anybodies guess. But if you don’t at least try then for sure nothing will come. Of course, any crisis in life requires the same mindset of adaptability, diversification and reinvention. If you are prepared to take that on board with optimism and positivity, you can do anything, survive any crisis be it a pandemic or otherwise, and come out smiling.
