How To Support The People of Ukraine

In my last newsletter I wrote about the dichotomy of love and war, all in a matter of seven short days. Last week our worst fears were realised as Russia invaded Ukraine.

As the days have played out, I've read a plethora of heartwarming posts from leaders across my network describing how they're assisting Ukrainian staff members and their families in numerous ways. Leaders who are going the extra mile to support people who are in an unimaginably terrible situation.

There will be much to say about the extraordinary leadership emerging from this war in time to come.

For now, I thought I would simply share ways of donating and supporting the people of Ukraine:

CARE's Ukraine Crisis Fund prioritises supporting 4 million women and girls, families and the elderly with immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance.

Global Giving's Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund supports humanitarian assistance in impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions where Ukrainian refugees have fled through its local partners.

International Medical Corps?is on the front lines and prepared to help citizens with?emergency health care services, as well as mental health and psychosocial support.

Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders runs?a range of activities in Ukraine?working with local volunteers, organizations, health care professionals and authorities to help people travel to health care facilities and access prescribed medications.

Save the Children?is providing lifesaving aid?to the 7.5 million vulnerable Ukrainian children who are are in grave danger of physical harm, severe emotional distress and displacement.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the UK has set up a special #StandWithUkraine fund to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine's civilian population.

The International Committee of the Red Cross is working closely with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, increasing their response to the humanitarian needs in Ukraine. Their support to people includes emergency assistance such as food, water, and other essential items.?

UNICEF is scaling up lifesaving support for children and families under threat supporting health, nutrition, HIV prevention, education, safe drinking water, sanitation and protection for children and families caught in the conflict in Ukraine.
