How to be super-focused on your goals.

Many people ask me how I plan my day to get the most of the precious time I have working on my business. I am not perfect and there are days where I get more things done than others.

I have always believed in reflective practice and I consistently reflect on how I am performing in my business.

As a reflective practitioner, I would always reflect on how a session went and how I could improve but I never did this on business tasks,

What I realised that there was a pattern in how I felt and how productive I had been.

Below are a few things that I have put in place to help me focus on the essential tasks:

  • Develop a morning routine:

Having a young family, I am so grateful for the time I spend in the morning setting up my day. It is a time for me to show gratitude, be mindful, and set my intentions. If you want to learn more, I have created a video to talk you through it so send me a DM and I will send you a link.

  • Plan out my non-negotiables:

Most therapists think that their non-negotiable start and finish with their contact work. This is working in your business and there are non-negotiables that are related to income-generating tasks.

Set out time each day to complete income-generating activity so that you are attracting people to take that next step to work with you.

  • Plan your content:

It is important to be visible and this needs to be done with structure so that you are getting your messaging clear.

Re-purpose your content to your different audiences.

Leave space for inspired posts. 

Reflect at the end of each working day

Write down 3 things that you have done well and 1 thing you could improve.

Celebrate the smallest of wins and be honest with yourself on whether you have accomplished what you set out at the beginning of the day.

Identify your learnings and what you could do differently and tweak your schedule if necessary.

Remember, every day is a new day. Just because you had a non-productive day, doesn’t mean you have to have a non-productive week.
