How To Super-Charge Your Prompts In ChatGPT For Increased Workflow

If you have been out of the loop and haven't heard about ChatGPT, here's a quick breakdown: ChatGPT is, basically, a chatbot created by OpenAI?in late 2022 that uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to answer questions.

If you ask ChatGPT what ChatGPT is, for example, it will respond as follows:

"ChatGPT is an AI language model developed by OpenAI, which is capable of generating human-like text based on the input it is given. The model is trained on a large corpus of text data and can generate responses to questions, summarize long texts, write stories and much more. It is often used in conversational AI applications to simulate a human-like conversation with users."

If you were to ask, "How do I supercharge my prompts for ChatGpt? here's what you would get:

"To supercharge your prompts for ChatGPT, consider the following best practices:

  1. Be specific: Make sure your prompts clearly define what you're asking for, so that ChatGPT can respond with a high-quality answer.
  2. Provide context: Adding context to your prompts can help ChatGPT understand the context and provide a better answer.
  3. Make it conversational: Write your prompts as if you were having a conversation with another person. This makes the interaction with ChatGPT feel more natural.
  4. Use complete sentences: Using complete sentences in your prompts makes it easier for ChatGPT to understand what you're asking for.
  5. Be concise: Try to make your prompts as concise as possible while still being specific and clear.
  6. Consider conditioning: You can also add "conditioning" to your prompts to influence the type of response generated by ChatGPT. For example, you can include specific named entities, dates, or sentiments to bias the response,"

I Then Asked It To Rewrite That Response, Here's What I Got:

"To supercharge your prompts for ChatGPT, you can try the following strategies:

  1. Provide a clear context: Give ChatGPT a clear idea of the context in which you want it to generate text. This could be in the form of background information, images, or even a story.
  2. Be specific with your prompt: Clearly state what you want ChatGPT to do or what kind of response you are looking for. The more specific the prompt, the better the response you will get.
  3. Use conditional language: You can use "if-then" statements in your prompt to guide ChatGPT's response. For example, "If this were a movie, what would be the plot?"
  4. Prime the model: You can start your prompt with text that is related to what you want ChatGPT to generate. This can help it better understand what you are looking for and generate a more relevant response.
  5. Experiment with different lengths and complexity of prompts: ChatGPT can handle a wide range of prompts, so try using longer, more detailed prompts and see how it responds.

Remember that ChatGPT is a language model, so the quality of its response will depend on the quality of the data it was trained on, and how well the prompt matches that training data."

Try experimenting with it and seeing what you can come up with, here is a basic template:

Start in the realm of make believe

1. Ask it to pretend that it is an expert in some field using as much context and background information as possible

2. Ask it to write a response to a question or statement using that same context and background information as a framework.

3. Ask it rewrite the response until you are happy with the results

Example: You are the writing assistant for Stephen King. You have worked in the fiction/horror genre for 30 years. You are a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, and now you are tasked with developing a skeletal outline for his newest novel, set to be completed in the spring of 2024. The publishers would like the first 5 chapters for a review in the next six weeks. create a setting, character outline and basic plot and title for this work

After you hit enter, you should see something like this:

Title: "The Dark Tower: The Return"

Character Outline:

  2. Sarah - Jack's girlfriend, a talented photographer who is accompanying him on his journey.

  4. Mayor Harris - The corrupt mayor of the town, who is determined to keep its secrets hidden.
  5. The Man in Black - A mysterious figure who is rumored to be behind the supernatural events in the town.
