How summer programs can impact where your teen attends college

Time to start thinking about Summer

During the winter, it's a great time to research summer programs! Yes, summer programs. There are so many amazing opportunities that could be the right fit for your teen. The program deadlines are often by March.

I especially emphasize looking beyond comfort zones for programs. Because students (and parents too!) can often become infatuated with particular colleges that it distorts their perspective and eventually leads to students missing out on wonderful summer experiences!

Case in point . . . each year, I curate a list of summer programs for my students and include at least one program at an unfamiliar college. This year, two of my seniors added best fit colleges to their list based on their past summer program experiences!

What is a type of college that your teen is closed to considering? I'd love to talk about how that will impact their scholarship dollars.

Featured Client- Client Success Stories

Before working with Dr. Pamela, I thought I was a decent writer, but needed help being concise, and I felt that my word choice could use some work. I improved dramatically in my short-essay techniques because of her training! I would recommend Dr. Pamela’s services because she has a lot of experience, and has the energy and drive to really push the client to complete exceptional essays. She always made herself available to help me meet hard deadlines. I really doubt there are any better options available for a personalized "essay doctor".
