How Strong Is Your Why
Today, you may be going thru a challenge that is perplexing, troubling,, frustrating, or downright overwhelming. You have done everything you know to do. Perhaps, you are looking for a new job or stand ready to transition into a new career. Maybe your goal is to start a new business, have an idea of how to doing something better, seek entry into a new organization, or simply want to upgrade into a new home. Whatever the challenge or frustration, now is not the time to throw in the towel. Perhaps we have not received what we seek because our sights have been set too low. Alternatively, we have not received because we have not asked for help from those who can open the correct door. One of the biggest challenges towards personal or professional growth is that we do not seek guidance, direction, or assistance as we attempt to transition to a new level of understanding or promotion. Below are a few considerations that may provide helpful insight as to the successful next steps.
How Strong Is Your Why? Yes, there will be tough times, setbacks, and disappointments. The strength of your Why will allow you to continue long after you are ready to throw in the towel. This is your basis for growing thru the current challenge you are facing. Do not forget what propelled you to try this in the first place. What was the spark, motivation, or event that started you down this path? Keep that front and center thru whatever may come your way.
Preparation: What is your level of preparation? Have you considered different outcomes, alternatives, or scenarios? Have you done everything you can to position yourself thru the necessary knowledge? There are times we fall short because we did not do enough on our end to withstand the resistance or change necessary to press forward. Adequate preparation is the key towards having the capacity to press thru the tough times of uncertainty and adjustments.
Asking For Help: In my view, this is one of the toughest areas for a growing number of us. Pride makes us feel that we are weak when asking for help. That somehow, we are not good enough when having to seek the guidance of someone who has already done it. If you get nothing else from this article, let that go right now! Ask for help, opinions, and guidance of those people who have the knowledge to push you thru. Ask questions, be ready to learn, and most importantly, execute their suggestions. This will save a lot of time and undue stress. Now, it is essential to feel confident in their credibility and knowledge. Be careful, yet confident in your selection of a mentor or addition to your circle to provide guidance towards progress. By asking for your help, you increase your chances for an answer and break-thru.
Stand A Minute: There are times where roadblocks are going to come. You are at a stand still. Take your hands off of it for a moment. Focus not on the solution but that a solution is on the way. I am always amazed whenever I give it a rest how the answer does in fact come. It may seem odd to some yet the channels within our spirit mentally gain traction and direct us to the solution.
Confidence: The answer will come and the solution is near. The mental block may simply be a temporary lack of confidence in the outcome. You have gotten this far and it is thru your confidence that the answer and solution will come. This mental state has stopped a number of people who may have more knowledge, experience, or connections than you. What they do not have is a confidence that gives them the peace of mind to continue. You have what it takes to smile and continue.
Whatever you are challenged by, know that the answer is on the way. This is a but a small hurdle that will successfully be confronted and handled. You are further than you think and in a better position than earlier imagined. It requires simple adjustments and you will continue a forward momentum towards extraordinary results. I believe in you and so should you.
