How Strong Is Your Password: You might be hacked!

Doctors say it's good to deworm after three months, the dentist also recommends you change your toothbrush after 3 months. What about your #password?

Today is #WorldPasswordDay and I have compiled some tech Leaders' discussions on Best Password Practices

1/ Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, emphasizes the importance of using unique passwords for each account. "Using the same password for multiple accounts is like having one key to unlock your house, your car, and your safe. If a hacker gets hold of that key, they have access to everything. Use a password manager if you need help keeping track."

2/Sundar Pichai, CEO of 谷歌 , recommends using two-factor #authentication (2FA) whenever possible. "Adding a second layer of protection to your accounts significantly decreases the likelihood of unauthorized access. Set up 2FA using an app or a physical key for maximum security."

3/ Satyan Adella, CEO of 微软 , suggests using a passphrase instead of a password. "A passphrase is a series of random words that are easy for you to remember but difficult for anyone else to guess. Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters for added complexity."

4/ Tim Cook, CEO of 苹果 , stresses the importance of regularly updating passwords. "Passwords are like toothbrushes: you should change them every three months. This ensures that if one of your accounts is compromised, your other accounts are still safe."

5/ Elon Musk , CEO of Tesla and SpaceX , warns against using common words or phrases as passwords. "Hackers use algorithms to guess common passwords like 'password' or '123456'. Avoid using these and instead, create a unique password that is at least 12 characters long."

6/ Jack Dorsey, Former CEO of Twitter , encourages users to take advantage of built-in security features. "Many platforms offer additional security options like login alerts and activity notifications. Make sure to turn these on to be alerted if there is any suspicious activity on your account."

That's a wrap! I hope these tips from some of the biggest names in tech have helped you strengthen your password game. Remember to always prioritize security and stay safe online. #WorldPasswordDay #PasswordSecurity #SimiyuNalianya
