In this newsletter, I will show you six steps to help you become more productive and achieve your goals.

Define your goals.

The first step to becoming more productive is to define your goals. What do you want to achieve? Be specific. For example, don't set a goal like "Earn more money." Set a goal, "Earn an additional $500 per month." When you're specific about your goals, it's easier to create a plan to achieve them. Make a list of your goals and put them in a place where you'll see them daily. This will help you stay focused on what you want to achieve.

Define how you feel about your goals.

The second step to becoming more productive is to define how you feel about your goals. Do you feel excited about your goals? Do you feel like they're achievable? Your feelings about your goals will impact your motivation to achieve them. If you don't feel good about your goals, it's time to reassess them. Make sure your goals are something you're passionate about and believe you can achieve.

Address those feelings "head on" using psychology.

The third step to becoming more productive is to address those feelings "head on" using psychology. Two main psychological barriers can prevent you from achieving your goals:

1. The fear of failure

2. The fear of success

These fears can hold you back from taking action and achieving your goals. To overcome these fears, it's important to understand these fears and why they're holding you back from overcoming them.

In my digital wellness practice, we work with people that want to be empowered from emotional eating, food addiction, and obesity. Often, we have found that getting healthier has nothing to do with food or willpower. It often pertains to how they feel about their productivity. Once we understand if it is fear of failure or fear of success that is holding them back, we create and tailor make special energy psychology techniques to address the problem head-on. Once you understand your fears, you can start to take action despite them.

Set your schedule.

The fourth step to becoming more productive is to set your schedule. It would be best if you made time for your goals. If you don't, they'll never get done. Block off time in your calendar for working on your goals. And stick to it! Set a regular time each day (or week) to work on your goals. And make sure you keep that appointment with yourself. You can also use a tool like a goal tracker to help you stay on track. A goal tracker is a great way to see your progress and keep you motivated.

Take "pulse check and full body scan" breaks.

The fifth step to becoming more productive is to take a "pulse check and full body scan breaks." Productivity is more than to-do lists and checking off various items on them (although the action may feel infinitely satisfying). Productivity and avoiding the need to procrastinate are about momentum.

Your mindset and psychology are the crown jewel of your productivity efforts. Nurture your mind and well-being by periodically taking mental full-body scans as a "pulse check" to learn how you feel.

How? The next time you drink your coffee or tea, close your eyes and ask yourself how you feel. Mentally scan yourself from head to toe. Notice anything that feels out of place or "off." Now notice anything that feels good. If a headache feels like it is trying to break through, ask yourself, "where is this pain coming from? What do I need right now?" Be the attentive boss, coworker, sibling, or lover you always wanted and yearned for. This approach prevents headaches, stress, and sneaky self-sabotaging behaviors from taking over and derailing your productivity.

Keep a journal

The sixth step to becoming more productive is to keep a journal. A journal is a great way to track your progress and stay motivated. Every day, write down what you did to work on your goals. Include everything, no matter how small. Then, at the end of each week, review your journal. This will help you see how far you've come and what you need to work on. Finally, celebrate your successes! Congratulate yourself on your progress and pat yourself on the back.

Becoming ultra-productive is a process that starts with defining your goals and addressing the feelings you have about them head-on. Once you've set your schedule, you must take breaks and keep track of your progress. Applying these principles may seem daunting at first, but we assure you they work!

How do we know? We've tried them ourselves. What tips do you have for becoming more productive? Let us know in the comments below, or share this article with a friend who could use some help getting their productivity up to speed.
